Personally... Lack of any news well... Lack of anything about ME:A starts gives me to think, that game will be unoticed?

The lack of gameplay only shows that the game is not ready to be release early 2017 and will get pushed to the holiday.

It's still possible (though unlikely) that either Sony or Microsoft will show some gameplay.

I loved ME1, I really loved it. ME2 was less good but still enjoyable as long as all the characters were present (removed from base game and available day 1 for good old ca$h). I won't talk about ME3 because innocent children could be reading this.
I wouldn't trust a word of promise from EA, and seeing what they did to the franchise, this one will stay away from my radar until it's released and massively enjoyed by gamers. If it happens :)

I trust Bioware, but I don't like EA's DLC milking... I will have to wait and see how the actual game turns out, but I hope for the best! (sadly there's not much in the behind the scenes clip)

I still have not finished my ME3 gameplay and tbh I don't see it happening anytime soon. :/ My computer had a problem and then I didn't bother installing origin on the new one because I had lost interest (whereas I couldn't stop playing ME2 for example , finished it twice in 5 days with only breaks to sleep :P), pity since it is the last game I actually bought on a disc and everything.
Dunno about Andromeda, maybe after it is out and we get to see if that ending is decent (hohoho look at the three different button colours, I am looking at you ME3) and if it goes on discount....Big meh from me anyway.
Plus I don't like origin. I miss the days they were on steam, I would have gotten Inquisition too if that was still the case.

I was like YAY, but then saw video withour any info and went into MEH mode. I want actual gameplay!

I will buy it when GOTY version will drop to ~20€. I still can't believe that I beat whole trilogy 10 times, but I don't have DLCs as they were never on sale. And I don't support this kind of policy, so no DLCs for me.

No one can be told what Mass Effect is.

You have to play it for yourself

This thread has been dead for a long time, so I'm going to revive it because of the "Origin Access" trial being available today.

My thoughts are overall positive, but I'm not sure I'm going to buy it before I see some reviews. I like the increased mobility of the new jump jets, and I don't have any gripes about the gun-play (it plays similarly to ME3, from what I've seen) though melee combat feels a bit lackluster and the automatic cover system is a bit finicky. That said, faster movement is great, and the exploration seems okay, though there are some gripes I have with the UI. I'll probably wait for reviews and see if there's a day 1 patch, since I've had some graphical issues with lighting and stuff (especially glass) and some crashes, and while repairing files fixed the crashes the graphical oddities remain.

I played the first two games and i got bored. I loved the third game (but not the ending clearly). And well this one seems nice but i have the feeling that it will be really buggy the first months. I think you should wait to see if it got patched... also if you wait more you maybe can get in the future the game less expensive (and maybe like old bf , free dlcs!).

i played all the series together, especially ME 2 x5, and ME 3 x3 using import char from other players as i see fit. kinda love the series of the risrt. but when i saw all the trailer and 1st gameplay for beta tester, i reconsidered my plan to PO. dunno, kinda lost the soul from the game. i mean the gameplay itself, not about sheppard anymore. Heavily rely on jetpack to attack the opponent and movement?, running around and around with no intend to use any cover? did they just turn ME A into hack n slash things? or change it to arcade style? dunno,.. the trailer itself raised too many question in my mind. so i decide to wait n see

It's still very cover based; the increased mobility makes it easier to eliminate easy enemies quickly, but for real fights you're going to need to bunker down and the improved mobility just helps you get to cover faster, in my experience.

Just a copy paste from another thread:

It depends on what you expect really.

I enjoyed my 10 hours of SP and MP and waiting for the release. The game got a bunch of similarties with DAI in terms of crafting, material gathering(though not as much as in DAI) , regional open maps and Strike Teams(like war table but they are only there for bonus loot and doesnt add to the story like the War Table in DAI) and dialogue system.

I can agree with majority of people that animations, facial expression and Character Creatore are bad but they arent deal breakers for me as long as characters are interesting and voice acting is good( which I like but its subjective so YMMW).

Combat is fun though the auto-cover is annoying at times but at least on normal you may not use the cover that much(on higher difficulties is a mandatory).

The Nomad drives much better than the Mako in ME1 and the bigger maps make it even fun to just drive around and roadkilling wildlife.

ME2 scanning is back but split in 2 parts: anomaly scanning from space and with the Nomad you can call mining drones at your position if there is anything detected.

ME1 Loot is back into the series and you have limited slots but you can deconstruct your items on the fly if you want to free space. Sadly some containers can look really weird so its a real scavenging hunt.

Last but not least for some reason the game doesnt have Quick save and Primary missions use checkpoint so you cant use manual save.

So... yah for me but then again I enjoy me some space exploration.

Well, from what I read, it seems they called someone from NFS to help them out with the Nomad in Frostbite engine.. and it seem like this since the Nomad at the start had race mode(110-120kmh) and climbing mode(60-70kmh) xD

I have enjoyed driving the Nomad, and while it's not the focus of the gameplay, it's certainly going to get you from A to B and have some fun doing so; I found a ramp and jumped it and was like "Man, this could be a real racing game if..."

Nah, It's ME by name only. Not the same team behind it at all. All character movement is horrible, from walking animation to facial expressions. Graphics kinda suck, and the horrible textures are "hidden" by a heavy layer of blurring. EVERYTHING has blur on it.

It seems like the character development/personalities and storytelling is quite bad too. And all the females in the game have babyfaces and looks like Fiona from Shrek.

Even if you ignore the trainwreck that is ME3 ending, and only look at ME:A on it's own merits, the end result still isn't very positive imho. But at least you get to pay EA prices for it (so 25-100% more than all other new AAA games).
