To be fair, the FAQ is hidden in the bottom "bar". When I first entered the site, I looked from the drop-down menus at the top, including what's in "support". Then, I looked at the bottom of the page, where there's Statictics, Network and Extras.
Only then did I find the FAQ from the side of the mostly empty gray bar at the very bottom.

You get points automatically as giveaways are created.
It has something to do with a percentage of the value of the games being given away. If you want to know exactly how the points are generated, check the FAQ ;)

Simple, when you log off, He-Man descends from the skies and adds points. Or substracts if he doesn't like you.
