Hello everyone,

It's not a steam game (it's on itch.io) , nor an AAA game, but I bet that many of you will find Tristram interesting.

The game takes place in Dablo's world, in the town of Tristram, at the time of Diablo 1. You recruit and send heroes in the Tristram's catacombs, on which they'll gain gold, and experience, and will get back (or not) to spend what they gained in your shops, that you can upgrade.

It's a short game developped for the LUDUM DARE 55, in 72 hours, but I personnally find it more appealing that some priced games. I'd add that both the graphics (in pixel art) and the music are nice

I"m curious to know your thoughts about it.

Play here on itch

[13/06/2024] in the destroyed inn, you found a stone , displaying in glowing letters the following message : CPP1ipk . Where could this lead?

never launched for me (load bar forever stuck at like 95%), but love the premise. I'm heavily invested into steam, so hoping to see it there one day if the numbers make sense. Good luck regardless. Indies are most of what make gaming fun for me.

I struggled a bit at the beginning too. Probably because of Adblock and the fact the game launches on an embedded browser window. I had to tamper a bit with adlock settings. Not sure if your issue is related , but I'm with you on that part:

Indies are most of what make gaming fun for me.

Could well be. Between adblockers, surfshark, popup blocker, and ublock, I am often surprised I see anything but a blank screen. GF is a dev and likes her security, real or imagined.

I hope the game is not C&D by Microsoft-Blizzard. I do love the premise

Looks great, plays considerably great as well, only started lagging towards the end when I hired too many heroes and was playing on highest speed.
But I was continuously asking myself "This was made in only 72 hours?!"

It was fun. I decided to rest and let the next regeneration rebuild the village but I didn't get to see anything of it. I then tried Maybe a few years more but I guess since I'd already clicked the first option I was locked out.

I enjoyed it, wouldn't have minded seeing the village bar be used for something or other though.

I guess it's a better work than that mess which calls itself Diablo IV

I agree with you, but I'm afraid I'm not very objective. Blizzard lost me when they implemented the auction house in Diablo 3

from what I have heard the latest patch is good, and to be completely honest... D4 was never bad(my first 60ish hours were great... speaking as someone who is in the 15-20k hour range in POE)... it just wasn't in the play every single season state at launch.

Maybe, but it's certainly dissapointing after looking at previous Diablo titles. I've finished the campaign and never looked back. I did experienced D3 rough launch and tbh IV too should be given some time to redeem itself, but I've just given up on it by seeing what Blizzard does. I'll just stick with whats good for now, good ol' D2 in resurrected form, and even sometimes with D1 with HD mod else known as Belzebub mod (it's great, try it!).

I'm not a big fan of idle games, but this was alright. Not bad for a 72-hour game jam! I wish they gave us a bit more control over party creation. For example, the ability to lock a party once you're satisfied with it.

The 'flee' logic seems kind of borked. On two occasions, I had a knight march into certain death long after all his other party companions had fled. Maybe knights have a secret 'foolhardiness' trait.

Finally, there's an annoying bug: When one of the parties has 5 members, 2 of the character sprites overlap and you can only select one of them.
