Ok So... That was fun for about 30 seconds...

So I've been working to get to level 6 for the better part of a month... Was at 5.92 just waiting for ONE more feedback to push it to exactly 6.00

Well it came in. said 6.00 (as expected) but now suddenly dropped to 5.59?

That's a full on WTF? from me... Anyone have any ideas before I howl at support?

I can't see anything with a permanent mark down as of today, that just changed 5 mins ago... Any Ideas? Anything?

if you giveaway a game that is later bundled i believe your CV is adjusted

CV can change when you GA a newly bundled game. It sometimes takes a while before the 15% multiplier happens.
I'm sure there are other reasons that others can think of.

The levels are given by the number of users that are at a certain level at a certain point.
If somebody else(or more that just one person for that matter) finished a giveaway just after you got to 6.00 they replaced you and your level dropped just a bit. The basics are that you have to keep giving away so you can keep your level.

Looks that way, but nice timing! Couldn't have done that in a more asshole manner if they tried.... It went to 6 first, then dropped.

Well, it's not like they did it to you on purpose since it's applied to everybody who made the giveaways after that date. Just bad timing for you, I guess.

You're wrong. CG wanted to do it that way at first, but changed his mind and lvls have set cv values.

Site doesn't store prices of games at time of giveaway unless they're removed from store. So if some game gets price drop, your contribution drops as well. Plus bundles are added manually and retroactively.

From the giveaways you made I can only assume it's because Silent Hill Homecoming has been added to the bundle list on 19th March 2015, so it applied retroactively to like 3(?) of your giveaways.

Well, that's how it always works. If a non-bundle game has a major discount (95% off or more) you can expect to get bundle-CV for it once it gets added to the list.

It is only retroactive to the start time of the bundle. If you had the giveaway before that it would't change.

The only time it'll apply retroactively is if you gave away something after it had been bundled but before it was actually on the bundle list. In this case if the game was bundled in march and your giveaways occurred after that, then upon the game being added to the bundle list today your GAs would be considered bundled GAs as well

Retroactive changes happen because Shobo is only human and sometimes misses the existence of a bundle or heavy sale.

It doesn't apply to the ones that are given away some time before they get bundled, only if you give it away when a bundle gets out and they didn't add the game as bundled yet

Well that's really frustrating to say the least... And possibly some of the most obnoxious timing possible...
Guess I can close the case on this one then.

And hey, I got to "Enjoy" it for 30 seconds.

I lost a lot of CV (about .75) all at once, and was confused as to why. It wasn't that something had been bundled and it had been retroactively reduced, it was because FaeVerse Alchemy's base price on Steam had been reduced from $30 to $15! Awesome news since it means more people will (hopefully) get involved, and also nice to know exactly WHY my CV dropped! ^__^
