Do you think this should be implemented?
It's not an important detail to remember. You must be joking to say you actually remember every game you enter. Plus, it's not like "oh, I forgot that I entered another giveaway for this 5 minutes ago" it's like "oh yeah, there was another giveaway for this like 3 days ago". Plus you are constantly bombarded with new names and thumbnails, it is almost impossible to remember every game.
I don't see why you have to act so high and mighty as if this is such a bad feature. People seem to like it, it is a quality of life improvement. Not every addition has to be massive. And after all of this, I don't see it as the site's problem that "my memory isn't good", but the site's chance of making it clearer what games you have already entered giveaways for and which are new that you've never seen, in this day and age where new games get released every day.

Actually yes, i do remember every game i enter and what it is about, even so unless for some reason you check hundreds, a few would take you only a few minutes.
And trust me, my memory isn't even that great, but i also just check the new bundle threads when it comes to new games, like most people do.
How am i acting high and mighty? That's what you make of it.
All i am saying is there are alot of priorities for this site, and clearly the poll results are showing, this might not be a high one.
Also note that any extra added data that needs to be collected will just put a strain on things, and it might be 1 thing on itself, but another wants to suggest to put VR games seperately and all those kind of things together eventually will become a big strain.

Actually, I do, and I am the kind of person who cannot recall the name of my students after 3 months. I just simply hide every other game, so even if something I entered slips my mind, just it being on the giveaway list will be a rather obvious indicator.

use the hidden feature for the ones you looked at and didnt want.
eventually you will be left with a majority being the ones you want
its tough to do this at first because the overwhelming amount but its worth it.

No kidding. I'm up to 1,471 Hidden Games and DLC so far.

I keep doing it, but new games that I never want just keep appearing, so it is really an endless battle of hiding games. I literally have over 2k games hidden at this point, so it is not really a permanent solution. Also I would still end up checking games that I entered before, which is the whole purpose of this suggestion.

The thing is, every time a new game shows up that you don't want you have to decide if you want it right? So the only difference hiding it makes is that it's two extra clicks after you've decided - and then you never have to consider it again.
Also it's only two clicks to hide every single copy of that game for all eternity, so since the front page is usually littered with dozens of copies of whatever "new game" has been bundled and is therefore given away, two clicks make the front page a couple of dozen games less.
I've got over 6000 hidden games and I've only been here for four months. Every day I hide another handful, maybe more if specific new bundles have been released - but it's far less effort than it would have been to slog through a list full of all these games to find the ones I actually want. Every single game I've won has been one I wanted, and I can often enter every single giveaway for the games I do want. That's the benefit.
Saying that it's too much effort to "keep doing it" is in my personal opinion a bit like saying you shouldn't take a shower because you'll just get dirty again...
Anyway, if you really want this feature - use ESGST. It has the ability to add a star to the title of any game you've entered a giveaway for, and you can also tag them to find special ones.

I've been doing this a few times a day, just looking at the new giveaways page, for a couple months. It makes a huge difference. (It also helps to have a script like ESGST that lets you do it in one click, without that popup confirmation.)
4,931 games have been added to your filter list.

I like that confirmation because I sometimes misclick the wrong thing.

Fair enough. I have made a mistake here and there, and thankfully remembered what game I did click, so I could remove it from the filter list. But when you're eventually getting thousands of games on the list, you can go much faster without.

I do have it, but for some reason that feature only works if you on games that have not ended and you entered. Idk if there is something wrong with how it works or what, or if it loads slower, but I had instances of games that I indeed previously entered, yet there was no star next to the title to indicate that I did so.

Do I need to visit the Entered page for the games to load? I swear I sometimes see a giveaway of a game I have entered before, yet it doesn't have a star.

It's in the Games section of the options. (Option number 7.1.) You don't need to visit any particular page, but it will start with an empty database. Once the option is enabled, it will begin remembering which games you enter from that time, and place a star next to other GAs for those games.

Oooh, I thought it also went through all previous entries, which is why I was confused. Thanks.

How many giveaways are you entering that you forget what games you entered into?! o.0
If a game isn't memorable to you then why enter it?

Because it looks cool and I might play it, but I don't want to put it on my wishlist. And I also like a lot of games and spend a lot of time just hiding games I don't want. And in the time I do that, I basically forgot what games I entered. Mostly because I am also not paying attention at the title or the thumbnail, so I just end up with a the feeling of "Have I seen this before?"
Plus, as I said above, due to the high influx of games, remembering the name of all of them is really hard, basically impossible for me. And lots of them I don't even see for another few days or weeks, by which point I totally forgot the name or thumbnail.

I mean I'm the same in a way, but I don't mind if I'm rechecking what it is. I don't think most people have this issue either. Maybe try making a spreadsheet or something?

Like the title says, I think it would be useful if you could see on the front page, next to the title some icon or marker of sorts, indicating that you have previously entered in an another giveaway for this game. Sometimes I look at a games and check on Steam to see what it is about, only to remember I already checked the game before.
If I had some indication that I did enter in other giveaways for this game, it would eliminate this process of constantly looking if you like the game or not. It really is annoying to have to constantly check for the same games over and over, just because you forgot that you did.
Edit: Realized that the title said "barker" instead of "marker", my bad.
