This isn't really a surprise, they've said they were working on mobile games and this seemed like one of the more likely candidates.

If Super Mario Puzzle & Dragons isn't next I'll eat a hat. Or a cat. Maybe a Zubat.

Knew it. When Nintendo announced they were gonna be doing some Mobile stuff, I thought "Man, Pokemon Shuffle is too perfect to not be put on mobile."

Emulation is still the way to go. I just beat emerald for the 80068th time on my pc.
