Slight hijack: I just wanted to share the father song of all dubstep, by Pink Floyd, called
Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict
Now there's a piece of musical history for ya

I got Edit: a bunch... I absolutely love these songs to death, almost. :D
(Applies to this post) They're not really brostep either, The first one is more straight dub.
I absolutely love this song. It's calmer then most dubstep, even so far as to saying it's pure dub. I found it on the Dubstep Meditations album (2010). The song starts off with a woman saying "To overcome attachment, we should meditate on the ugliness, of what attracts us." Then the song is pure trippy, really puts you in a different level.
As a long time fan of the DnB scene, I keep a close eye on Brookes Brothers for new releases. This song is what I introduce people to when I say dubstep, though. It's hard and powerful, and very good. When this drops on the floor, everyone else does. :D
This is pure audiophile bliss. The music video is even amazing for it... records oscillating to the beat. Get it in .flac or cry your eyes out.
Also, no crappy headphones for this kind of music, if you're still using Ipod buds.... I think you should re-evaluate your state of being.
Edit: Formatted thanks to SuperFluffyKitty :)

This song has a strong vibe to it, it stands out. The video is also pretty cool, in and of itself.
Derailing for a second, since this is half drumstep and half drum and bass, but this song is perfect to overtake in on the highway.
I'm not gonna explain this one. I know BSE from dark drum and bass/ neurotek, and hearing a dubstep song from them caught me off guard. It's either one of those your gonna like or hate.
This is a guilty pleasure of mine. I usually listen to this song by myself... I can't help loving the drop in this song, and the vocals.
This is just so much %@#^ing fun. The song is just simple dubstep turntablism, combined with District 9 quotes. It's one of these songs you would have to see live to enjoy, cause it's really DJ masturbation.

This song is like buckshot being fired at your face. It's evil, it messes with you, it changes up, and leaves you behind. Then again... so does DMT, but that's not being discussed at the moment.
Where that song kicks you in the teeth, this one is more of a club song. It's one of Rusko's better works, in my opinion and is a good song to listen to when coming down.
Deadmau5 has a special place on my hard drive. And Faxing Berlin has a special shortcut on my desktop. Combine deadmau5 with some rough, yet slow dubstep... and you have a song that wants you to travel with it and watch the scenery pass by.

Chrispy makes hard drops. He's known for that. :) This is good party music, or to blast your sub-woofer on.
If you've never heard of Modestep, stop living in a third world country. This group plays all their dubstep and drum and bass on instruments. The fact that you can go to see them perform these songs live is a testament to their skill. And totally makes me want to get a ring oscillator for a bass guitar.
Shem is, I believe, from Poland. And not well known, but his dubstep is very unique. A must listen.
This song... oh this song.... It's a siren call for me, hard and smooth at the same moment. I feel like listening to this song is like being in two places at once.
Test Drive Unlimited 2. If you ever see it on SteamGifts, bid on it for the music alone. :)
"Fallin'.... Fallin' for you.... Fallin'..... Fallin' for you... youuuu.... youuuuuuu"

This song combines a genre I love, with one I don't. And it's one I can't place. It's... interesting. It DOES fit will in a mix though... and I mean VERY well.
I found this song completely by accident, looking for a GIMP tutorial; and had it running throughout the entire time I was scrambling to finish a project. The song stayed with me, and it's pretty 'spine-tingling' good (as the up-loader describes it).
Tribal dubstep. Gives you a headache after a while, though I'm not sure that's intentional or not.
Comment has been collapsed.
The build up on this song gives me the same feeling as coming up on euphorics. The same spine-tingling, light headed, energized, ready-to-explode-yet-can't feeling. And the drop slams you back down to the ground again. It's a song I often have on repeat, but not too long... otherwise I start to feel burnt out :)
God, Noisia is good live. They're music is very heavy, and a thrill to listen to. Sometimes I blast it on my headphones rather then having a morning coffee (Since coffee doesn't do much for me anymore).
Some people say Sub Focus is sold out now, and is deep commercial. While I do agree selling out does diminish artists, since they get lazy... I don't hear that in Sub Focus. Their music is always catchy for me, and I especially like this remix. Also, I know this remix is in crap quality... I'm to lazy to find another one since I've got songs to toss up still :P
Picture this. It's the year 3421. It's a cyber-distopian world, and you're being hunted.... running in the sewers of a major town that has lost it's name and culture/nationality ages ago.
It's the perfect way to picture this song. It's not a pleasant experience, but whoever said music was nice :)
When I used to main tank on my warrior... way back when, I would toss this song up to tank bosses with
and then blast it on teamspeak. It's not really dubstep... more towards Glitch Hop, but I feel it's in the same climate...
This song gives me chills, and not just because it's Deadmau5. The sub rumbles with life under it's power. This is one of these songs to play in the middle of a playlist, because it keeps the mood alive :)
Flux Pavilion is an acquired taste. But the drop on this song is so chill-worthy... It brings a tear to my eye to drop it on unsuspecting people. The climate of this song is so heavy, so hostile; yet it's subtle. I absolutely love listening to this song.

This song is good for a comedown. Very, very good for a comedown. I usually play it at night when returning home, tired. It's a good song to mellow out on... and one that rewards you if you drop it on people.
I like Chase & Status. They make good remixes. And this song, makes me feel a bit more alive at night. It's a good song to play to comedown, just like above.
I don't know why I like this song. I really don't. I've thought about it and gave up. shrug
I have Nero up on here a few times... since Nero hows to make the room move. This song is a bit less technical and more hostile then the other ones I've tossed up, but it has a place on a playlist, and it's a damn dirty beat.
Comment has been collapsed.
Warning! Hostile song ahead.
I add this song as a layer to other songs in a playlist to $@#% with people. This song is sick, and not in a good way. But it's so apparent in it's hostility, that I love it. It doesn't lie to me. It's rough, it's mean, and you're gonna listen to it.
I hate the original. No. Really. Despise it. This dubstep remix is the only version I can stand of it, and I usually drop it for the popular vote. It's not a personal favorite of mine, but after hearing it enough... It got into my head. And made a nest. And had babies. And those kids went to college and got %$#@ed up and lost their mental balance.
Figured the OP jumped on the Muffler wagon, I'll do that, too. :D This isn't as much to my tastes, too many phasers firing and stuff happening. Makes me feel like I'm listening to a Star Trek battle instead of music. But it is melodic, if you look for it. And it does sound good to slam down on to people.
I love CV. His drum and bass is tops. By far one of the leading Dark DnB artists on the market, today. When I heard this remix... I couldn't believe it, "CV, moving into drumstep territory, and with BJORK?!"
Yeah. And you know what... it's DAMN GOOD. The second drop actually slammed in my damn chair in this intensity. This is a gooooood song to speed up to. I haven't gotten a chance to drop it on people yet, but it's SICK. And if you don't know CV, I want to punch you through TCP-IP.
I have no apologies for this song. I know what it is and I still like it. It's odd, makes me feel like I gotta wear aviators while listening to it...

Dubstep Meditations is a CD you can't go without. These songs are just so moving, that they sweep you up in their own world. This is the song after The Bangover on the CD, and it has a really interesting middle part, since it's 3 different songs in one song. Don't think to long on that, you might hurt yourself.
If I could, I'd share the whole damn CD as a link, but that would involve me doing stuff. It's a good CD, reallly reallly good.
Camo & Krooked are my favorite Liquid Drum and Bass artists. I like Camo's work a bit more, honestly... but hands down, they make great DnB. And when they jump into dubstep, they take their expertise and make a damn good song to play with. The 'second part' of the drop is just amazing. It hits you and you just stagger back in recoil.
Gemini is one of those artists I didn't hear about until UKF told me about them. And then I rushed to scramble for lost time. XD This is my favorite song from Gemini... It has a really good feeling, and you can't NOT pimp walk with it. XD

This song is a gift. And that's the original...
Oceanlab - Satellite is one of those songs that can define you. And trying to remix it is like painting over Pollock's works with lead-based house paint. Thankfully, i've seen few remixes (due to me going 'no no no no' when I see remix tagged on it and pretend like nothing happened), but Seven Lions has enough respect collected with me to give it a shot. And it's good. Not saying as good as the original... cause nothing beats that, but this song captures its essence.... and that's all you could ask for.
Cosmic Love has this really, really deep bass; yet it's kept restrained. I always expect it to rip me a new one... but it's like a schooled dog, it gently barks at you.
I'm always left speechless after this song. Partly because I always picture myself riding the high breaks once the drop hits. This song is one of the dubstep songs it's ok to play in a cultured environment, not like brostep (I'm lookin' at you, Cinema. Jesus... what the fuck is that?!).

Last song. I'm getting sleepy. ;)
This would probably be a song I would want to listen to before I'd commit suicide. I don't... quite... know how I got to that conclusion, but with my fried brain nowadays, it's a wonder I actually recognize my damn car keys. It's an even tone song, very uplifting. I've been driven to tears by it more then once, and it's not because it's technically brilliant, or it's "TEH beTSSST SAWNG EVEAR". No. It has more depth then you can sink your teeth in. The even tone of the bass helps push the song along, and you get lost in it's pockets while traveling it. I wouldn't also say it's my favorite... but it's up there.
Thanks for reading my huge list. This isn't a definitive list of my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONGS EVER, it's just a good long list of quality music that I love. :) (If I were to make a list that damn long, my other self would disown me)
If you find any songs you want to add, or maybe you want to communicate with me to exchange smiles,
drop a reply on this thread;
or find me on steam.
I'm always willing to discuss music and other matters, and I want to know if I made an impact on your musical journey, or if I should be shot for my musical tastes (but at least explain why before you pull the damn trigger; you know, for human decency). Also, I can read and write, abit not well... but I can, in Polish, to nie krempuj sie :)

God, that first song brings back memories. :D Blasting that song while being ripped, stoned, and generally a good, law-abiding citizen.... Let me tell you, police officers don't like hoodie'd, bandana'd, headphone'd, fingerless-glove'd people. They always think those kind of people are about to commit felonies... and while that may be true in a sense, they also do NOT consent to a search. And then argue for an hour with other friends about wither or not that cop was real or not.
As for SPL, I don't know him all that well... and that one's a new one for me. Listening to it just now made me feel like I was traveling at a rapid rate down a grey tunnel, surrounded by red lights that were flickering... And overall gave me a good adrenaline rush. Though, it's not one I'd drop on a floor. It has good form, but not enough substance for my taste... but a damn good song to play Tribes: Ascend to. :D

haha, well cops dont like me, and i dont like them neither...
about tracks, they arent the top, spl one is quite unknown (at least it wasnt on youtube some months ago), and Hypersun got all the soul of BSE dnb, on dubstep base imo XD
i just posted them here cuz u posted their track together XD
Good taste sir.

My thanks, sir. ^_^
I'm glad at least someone went through some of the list. I'd hate to give a piece of myself in this thread and have it die in a few hours. I'd be really happy to toss up drum and bass, electro house, ect... as well; but nothing gives me more of a rush, at times, then dubstep. Well... that and psychedelics.
But psychedelics and dubstep don't mix.
Neither does dark psy-trance. That music should be illegal. Seriously.

Yeah, it helps keep my cigarette cravings at bay. Right now, I have a pile of toothpicks at my desk (to chew on, it..... helps), my headphones, and the shakes.
Quitting is hard.
