Maybe this site can help. http://lostallhope.com/suicide-methods/statistics-most-lethal-methods
Has a handy little chart that lists how quick and painful each method of suicide is.
Also, don't commit suicide.

While photosynthesis doesn't occur at night.. overall, they use (significantly) more carbon dioxide than they output througout a day. Not to mention that they use oxygen DURING respiration. Without any source of oxygen in a sealed room, the plants would most likely suffocate as well. You'd have to pretty much have a forest in your room in order for it to have any major effects.
I'll admit I skimmed over some details, didn't notice the "night" bit.
Too much effort to commit suicide, IMO.

So basically you have just proved my theory, right? It is true that the plants only release about 25% the CO2 they absorb in daytime, but that 25% is more than enough to suffocate anyone in a small sealed bedroom. Remember that you can die from low level, not just from total lack, of oxygen, and when you are breathing, you are also using up oxygen as well.

Fill a syringe with air and inject it into your blood. When the bubbles go to your heart it will cause a heart failure and die.

Most painless: Find a way to get to the ocean (or somewhere deep enough). Jump in, don't struggle or attempt to stay afloat, sink while holding your breath. By the time you instinctively struggle for air, you're already too deep.
Most accessible: Jump off a tall building.

Putting a gun in your mouth facing upwards(towards your brain) You wont feel pain because yould die in an instant

Ugh, my neighbor did this in his driveway at 1:03am several months ago. And guess who found him about 5 mins after he did it.... yup.

Anything beats burning to death. Death by burning is the most painful way to go.

I haven't read all of the previous comments, but it is quite common to commit suicide by swallowing a bottle of sleeping pills.
What people who kill themselves don't realize is that death brings no relief if you died by suicide.

How do you know that death by suicide is not an even greater shame in the next life? How do we know that we even exist?
Question everything, determine reality to the best of your ability, and decide what you believe for yourself. In the end, we will all know the truth of things.

You experience a different kind of relief if you die naturally? That makes no sense.

I am one of those people who believe that death is not the end of our existence. I also believe it is better to suffer in this life than to suffer in the next. What you choose to believe is up to you.

No. Nothing is subjective except our perception. Just because we may fail to perceive reality does not change the fact that it exists. The challenge is in our attempts to perceive things as they truly are, a difficult task at best.
As for arguing the metaphysical logically, it is beneficial if and only if one's audience is receptive to logic. Otherwise, it is a complete waste of time.

Maybe I should have rephrased: Everything surrounding life after death is, and most likely always will be, a mystery. Of course, it's always nice to have a good philosophical debate, detailing why you feel the way you do logically. But, nothing can be interpreted as fact, being that it isn't something concrete we can know.

Yes and no.
The problem with evidence in general is that it is open to interpretation. What is convincing to one person may not be convincing to another. In fact, it may or may not be convincing to the same person at differing times or circumstances. You could place someone on an escalator carrying him up to Heaven and he might simply claim that his eyes are bewitched. This fact leads us back to what I said previously: on an individual level, each person will be forced to recognize the truth of the matter only once he or she is dead and choice of belief is gone.
In summary, presenting all of the evidence in the world would make no difference should it prove unconvincing, and as that is totally a matter of choice, it all comes down to "belief." To argue about the strength of the evidence is to overlook this point entirely.

Isn't death just another form of escapism? embracing it is just the same as love for video games.

The idea that death offers escape from anything is a flawed one. As I said, above, however, we will all know the truth of things in the end.

I'm working on a short story and in your opinion: what is the most painless and accessible way to commit suicide?
It's a crime novel, that's all I can say.
Edit: bonus for a death during sleep. it must be self-inflicted though, not just coincidental.
Editt: Thanks for your input. Yes, I am having thoughts of suicide but for now I'm just entertaining myself with the idea.
Everyone has a breaking point.
