Got fucked with the previous HBM, I know for a fact I will get fucked by this one given that I bought DSII a week ago on the Humble Store sales...yeah they're going to screw people with this HMB again.

You can pretty much play any of them. There are some small changes here and there, but essentially all three (plus Bloodborne) are the same game on a different large map.
Also, without some massive tinkering and fan patches, the first one on PC is a gigantic mess.

well i was planning to buy ds2 during the next sale. not really sure if those few extra money i would pay by subscribing will be actually worth spending, expecially by looking at the last bundle. dk, will think about it.

pro-tip: you can buy a one-month subscription as a gift and then gift it to yourself.
That way you don't need to worry about forgetting to cancel your subscription.

FYI: Dark Souls II is not redeemable in Japan. Humble Bundle is offering a $5 HB store credit as compensation for those subscribed or interested in doing so from Japan.

I'm not sure how they are doing region assignment -- I primarily reside in Japan but my Steam account and all payment accounts are based in the USA since I am a US citizen and keep a residence there, and in situations when it requires activation from a North American IP address I just use VPN (which has always worked so far).
If you can't access the key at all, even after you return to Canada, you could probably get in touch with Humble support to explain your situation and I have a feeling they will sort you out.

They do have a warning on the main monthly bundle page, but if you followed a link directly to the subscription and pay early page it seems like there's not secondary notice. If you contact support about the key, you may also want to mention that there's no notice on the final steps of purchase and I'm sure they would be grateful (HB support and web dev responsiveness has been pretty good in my experience) -- reporting usability issues like this is very helpful for businesses as it can help reduce countless support requests with a few lines of code. I know this from experience as a web dev, you try to think of everything but it's impossible, so real use customer reports are extremely helpful for improving the site and keeping things efficient.

Not particularly happy with Dark Souls 2, but it'll make a fine gift to a friend. I've been consistently satisfied with the value of the monthly bundles, so I'll stay subscribed. Plus, it's really nice to have something to look forward to for the first weekend of each month!

Not sure about this one. A part of me would like to buy a good game bundle since I haven't bought one in a while and is tempted to get the July monthly. On the other hand, I still haven't finished DS1 and I'm not even sure if I ever will so I don't particularly want DS2. If I do purchase this monthly, I'd probably GA Dark Souls and cross my fingers that at least 1-2 games from the bundle would be to my liking.
