I have it and tried it for like 3 hours. It's kinda boring, I don't see what's with all the fuss about it. There's only like 4 weapons you can buy, you can also buy exosuits and jetpacks which are pretty neat. But then you just run around killing the aliens and trying to take over areas.

It's more CPU-bound than most other titles due to how it's written. So if you have a terrible CPU + a solid GPU, you might be able to play stuff like Battlefield 3 but NS2 will run horribly.
... but yeah, it's not that bad as long as your within the recommended specs.

DS 2 is good. But my Steam version had a mistake. Floor was missing in one of the rooms and I couldn't proceed. Good thing I could activate the Steam key on Origin.

Wait what? Really? I actually never had that problem. All I had was my frame rate would drop for the Eye Nabber scene and I couldn't stop him from getting me because it wouldn't register enough of my clicks, so I had to drop the resolution to nothing.

Yeah, really. No one on Steam forums had this problem either. And I tried re-installing the game and even going through it again from the beginning. It was in Chapter 4 I think. It didn't help. Plus Steam version has the DLC and you get access to a lot of weapons from the beginning which SUCKS. It's like you were playing on cheats. Meh.

+1 I learned to never buy a game at full price. When people say a game like for example mark of the ninja is worth it for 10 bucks, INCORRECT, you can get a triple A game for around 10 bucks cough max payne 3, hitman absolution, Batman Arkham City cough

Wait for sales imo. No point in just spending money on full price games that you aren't even excited in.

I have $25 dollars on steam, and I'm not sure what I want. Was thinking about dead space 2, what do you guys think is a good game for this price range?
