I was level 2 yesterday now i am level 1...

There are and will be always price-changes and other factors....don't expect that you achieve a level a and this keeps forever.
Doing Giveaways just to get with .0x a level and thinking...ok thats it, I have done my mission....might be the wrong way.
Just do giveaways from time to time and don't focus on your level, just take it as it is.

It happened to me before. Some suggested it is because value of the games is always updated to current steam price, not to the steam price when you gifted the game. So if the game you once gifted has now dropped in price (full price, not discounted price), your steamgifts level might decrease. I was also disappointed at first, but I take it as a way to update your contributions depending on how active you are. If your steam level goes down, just gift a bit more and u'll be back to it in no time ;)
