Client for Russian version will only support Russian language.

It is. In russia you can buy the "Eu version" or the "russian version", with both you can play on EU servers, but the EU version (which is released by now and just as expensive as in the rest of EU) can choose other languages, while the "russian only" version is language locked and if you change your clients language you can't login anymore until you change it back to russian. the same also happened with korean version and some other country i forgot, because all of them are cheaper and blizzards wants to prevent losing money this way.

99% of that people, which played diablo 2 and 1 before, are complaining because the games doesn't have skill points to distribute, no constumization of the character,... things like this, the 99% of people complain because they see diablo 3 as a CASUAL game, which is really true, diablo 3 is too simple and it isn't really diablo. It's a good game but it isn't from Diablo franchise at all , it's like an spin-off or something like this.

Or they simply want that kind of customization included in the game. Some developers have lately used a trend that if people do not like a certain feature, it will removed. Instead of doing something else like fixing it. This might in the long run end up as a simplified product, which may not be desired by all.

Ok, i've just played the beta version... but this rate explains everything i've though and expected.
"Denmor0
(...) 1) Poor story. Re-usage of everything that was in Diablo 2, and nothing new. 2) Internet connection needed to play in single player. Screw this, i don't want to not be able to play a game i paid for just because Blizzard servers are screwed up. 3) No LAN. Nuff said. (...) 5) In-game action house is just a way to ruin balance for players. And for Blizzard, it's another way to milk us. 6) The game is too short. Some Korean beat it in 12 hours and 29 minutes. Wut? Wondering what took Blizzard so long to make that game... 7) And finally, as 95% of new games on the market, it became casual. Yep, a game for those who don't give a crap about character customization, challenge, and plot. As everyone already said: no skill points to spend, everything upgrades itself just like in World of Warcraft, all abilities unlocking automatically, et cetera. It's not Action-RPG anymore. The RPG part is merely an illusion. The rating you see here, totally explains the quality of this game. And for all those fan-boys out there who gives Diablo 3 more than 6 score: after the "new shiny thing wow effect" fades away, take a closer look, and see for yourself, how awful the game market looks like now.

1/ It's a Diablo game, what did you expect the story to be.
2/ Meh. People said the same about HL2 when it came out. Same for soloing any MMORPG. Doesn't bother me anymore at this point, internet connections support it and the server problems are mostly fixed.
3/ Lol LAN. Pretty niche market now I'm afraid.
5/ (what happened to 5?) You don't haev to use the auction house. I agree it unbalances the game, but it's optional, and preferable to a "buy max level character" option.
6/ There are speedruns of ~4 hours for Diablo 2. Was D2 too short, or are some people just really good atrushing through games?
7/ In D2 the skill point system was unbalanced and any high level player would follow the same point distribution. Your "choice" in character customisation was between making a good character or not, pretty much.

You assume that all the language files in the game uses text files and that each of these text files have the same formatting internationally.
Not to mention that Blizzard would assumely have these files encrypted since they went for the whole no-modding route plus it's a simple form of region locking.

People knew what they were getting into when they bought a game with always-online DRM. They have no reason to bitch if they support the companies that do it.

Shame that average attention span of a gamer is very short. Also, the lack of willpower in general is disturbing. Maybe people just like the feel from a beating or somehow convince themselves that this time it is different?

Part of it is the knowledge that even if you refuse to buy it, so many other people will just lap up whatever's given to them, so what's the bloody point of denying yourself the entertainment if it won't make a difference anyway?

And that is the point where the problems start to add up. People have the power to choose. Making a choice and complaining about the result, known beforehand, makes one look silly.

Agreed.
Jade Falcon, that was just terrible defeatist, apologist, bullshit "logic". Maybe me refusing to give Blizzard any money for something that I see as wrong doesn't mean anything in the great-scheme of things. However I can atleast feel that my actions were just.
There's always others out there that share with my point of view and I would hope if they did, they would have taken the same action I did. Together perhaps making it clear that this is something that people don't want no matter how much the silent majority stays content.
Buying the game is supporting the idea that this is okay to do. If the luanch has told us anything about the nature of always-online DRM is that it's a clusterfuck of fail that only serves to control the consumer base. I can bet in a few days the always online will be cracked by pirates, allowing people who have not paid for the game BETTER SERVICE. I don't think I would ever want to support a company where I'm treated worse for buying their game.

Err, guys? I never said that that was what I believed, just that that is in the views of a lot of people. Look at that stupid Modern Warfare 2 boycott. That destroyed MW2's sales that month, didn't it? I didn't buy, nor do I plan to buy Diablo 3, not until I've a) spent weeks on the previous games and b) see it for a fiver in a bargain bin (or c) when they cut the shit and release a patch to make single-player a happy place again). Same reason I don't want to buy any Ubisoft games with always-online unless they're either cut so much Ubisoft gets all of ten pence for their work or if I decide it's worth the effort to find a crack so I can play my legally bought game. So far, it hasn't been worth that effort, so I pretty much move on whenever I see a Ubisoft game nowadays.

It's actually a good game, but I am going to talk about how horrible it is because it is cooler than being a fan bois.

Apparently Blizzard is gonna make the Russian release of the game MUCH cheaper, at the cost of a 3 week wait.
It will be released on June 7 and cost 940 rub. (It's about 25 EUR)
Русский ключ Diablo 3 дает возможность играть только на европейских серверах Battle.net (This key will only be eligible for the EU servers)
