if you were unaware that they were when you used them then it counts as negligence and you can ask steam to remove it (they can remove games from your account but you do not receive a new key or copy) and so long as you don't use/trade/give-away the others you will be fine
edit: by negligence, you can say you were unaware when they were given to you as the person you received them from neglected to tell you

No, the worst thing Steam can do is suspend your account. I'm not saying that they do, or ever have done, but they can if they want to if they determine it's 'improper' activity:
