I have some games on Uplay but I don't even know what are those Club units.
So Meh.

Club Units are earned when you buy games on the UPlay store itself and through completing challenges for games.
The Club units can then be used to "buy" content for games.
The Club units can also be used to get discounts on their store.

One time, back when I used to play Rainbow Six Siege I had trouble with the game, it was lagging like crazy on my computer after they updated it. So I send a message to support. I get automated answer next day that they are really busy and it might take two weeks to answer.

Two months later, I receive an answer to my problem, which was already irrelevant since I managed to fix it by stalking forums and asking for help from the community. They were so sorry about it taking so long that they rewarded me with massive reward (at least that's what they think) which was 100 Club Units.

I used them right away to get some extra skins in some of their games. But yeah, you can use them pretty fast for discounts or skins in games so 2 years should be more than enough. They are pretty useless anyway.

Ive heard more of these support stories xD But 100 Units is not that bad (for ubi), its basically 20% discount on any item. Sure its not extreme but its better than nothing, plus you can stack it on other discounts with some of the sales.

Is that the in game points you earn through games like Assassin's Creed?

Yes, you can earn them through completing Ubisoft Challenges. Most of their not-so-old games have them. You can spend them on some ingame content, or turn every 100 points into one-use 20% store discount coupon. Normally those discounts are not cumulative with the exeption of this year black friday sale.

2 years is more than ok with me. If you are not into cosmetics when you hoard the points up pretty quikly.

These point are one and only thing that i actually like about Uplay.

I meant are they the exact same points? I think there are two separate point systems for challenges. I could be wrong though.

EdIt: Nevermind. They are the same after all :/

Neat, I'd lose 400 of my current 530 points, according to them.
But considering that I rarely find anything of value to use them for, obviously, it wouldn't be a great loss.

Hey!How do I check how many points will I lose?Did they sent you email?

It's on the linked page from OP. Just scroll a bit downwards and you'll see a section offering you to check how many points you would lose.

look at technology it's so great you can make a market system where you control almost everything so that you get all the pros without the cons and the customers all the cons without the pros in a system whose elements are otherwise incompatible and contradictory. it's like the double set of rules containing double standards some spoiled, selfish and mean kid would decide of for the multiplayer board game he plays so that's he's always advantaged. hurr we're selling "products" that's copy/pasted like it's boxed. hurr dlcs. hurr virtual goods expiring. hurr money money money

back in the day this is how company town worked. if you worked for say pepsi you would get payed in pepsi dollars and only the company store would take them. where ofc they jacked the price up but where else you going to spend those pepsi bills.

Make sure to redeem the stuff you want like soundtracks, extra levels, game modes, cars, characters, additional slots, skins, etc. before the points expire. The rule will be retroactive. From the FAQ:

There is a transition period: you have from now until March 31, 2019 to redeem the Club Units you acquired on or before March 31, 2017.

As an example, if you had 60 Club Units in your account as of March 31, 2017, those are redeemable until March 31, 2019. The Club Units you choose not to redeem will expire on April 1, 2019.

i think for me the best deal is when there is big deals same as black friday sales etc. on ubi store use 100 ubi coin for the 20% discount on buy games or dlc if you must buy more of them will be a big discount.

Interesting, that for Canada the old ones do not expire, quote:
"How do these updates impact the Club Units I acquired in my account prior to April 1, 2019?
These updates do not affect the Club Units you acquired prior to April 1, 2019. "

Or people were saving them up for larger rewards.

Most rewards feel meh(or at least in the games I play) so its easy to not spend them.

Not necessarily. They're used to unlock small things in games, and that's what I've used them for, when I get a new game that uses Uplay, I unlock the small things I want for it right away. But I don't use Uplay very often, so it's not unlikely that it will take more than 2 years for me to reach the point where I'll have a reason to use them.

Looks like the rewards are per system only too which is ridiculous. A reward should be for the game entirely.

you can use 100 Units to get 20% off on games in the uplay store
or you can buy some small extras for your games:
go to the game page in your library, there you should find a Point called club rewards.
what you can get depends on the game, it's often wallpaper and OST or some cosmetics or sometimes even minor DLCs.

Ridiculous idea. I've made a small number from old games but only now got into Odyssey and was able to buy that extra quest they put up since I've had them from before. Just another way to try and keep you playing PAID games so you could "buy" more content for them. And they expire. Ridiculous.

I have 2075 club units saved over the years, I really didn't need any more reasons to hate UBI even more.
