"Dota Player" AI beats 30% threshold on Turing's test

Its name is Eugene Goostman, a 13 year old chatbot from Ukrania. Fooled 33% of the judges in a recent contest held by the Royal Society.

It also has a guinea pig and a shaky grasp on the English language.

Please, keep in mind, that the contest was somewhat rigged and that its success has been exagerated quite a bit by many media searching for a juicy headline on Turing's death anniversary. Nonetheless, good chatbots could make interesting videogame characters.

I think that's a test aiming at determining wether or not the person you're chatting with is an AI or a human being.
