How lucky you are?

Took me over 700 entries to win my first game.

You have to remember that there are over half a million people registered to this site, a handful of them are liable to be lucky right off the bat.

I never win :(

Well 173 giveaways entered here and not a single gift, you just have to keep trying, perhaps one day you'll be the lucky one.

I got my first after 25 entries. After that I only got Trine, of which I got a physical copy the next day as a present from someone...

You're not unlucky... expect your first win in 600-1000 entries

I've seen users that have had over 10,000 entried and have won like 10-12 gifts. That would average around 1 game per 1000 entries. I've won 2 out of the 600 giveaways I've entered myself. I'd say it is early to say whether you're unlucky or not.

After 2300 enter i win first and next time + 3 (only group) now i have 2,414 enters and never win public giveaway :) (idk why never win public GA 2k+ :( )

Luckier than some, and not nearly as lucky as many others... all in all with the large number of people who use the site...I'd say I do okay.

around 800 before first win, i did enter mostly into giveaways where i had 1/500 or 1/1000 chance so no wonder it took so long

Im new around here :) in my first giveaway the guy that won it had 30~ entries :) and it took me 60 to win my first game :) but i mostly try my luck for indie games, not popular ones.

Well i haven't won a giveaway yet. But i only entered 314 giveaway and some good guy gave me a key for Dead Island : Epidemic so i'm already happy =D

I apologize in advance for any flames you get for posting your question. It seems someone makes a post like this every other day, so people get sick and tired of seeing it over and over and over, again.

Winners on SteamGift are drawn randomly, which means everyone who enters a giveaway has the same chance to win. The more people enter a giveaway, the smaller the chance to win. Most people win at least one giveaway by the time they hit 2000 or 3000 entries. You are at 150 entries, so you have a ways to go.

A better question is how lucky did you make someone else by giving them a gift?

I wouldn't have won anything had I not joined in groups. The odds of winning a game sure are better when yours is the only entry.
