They all look cool, but I'd probably choose Hob out of the four.
RUINER kind of gives off a Crusader: No Remorse vibe to me.
Bump!

It would be cool if there was.
It would also be really nice if they were added to Steam! :(

According to public statements, it has nothing to do with EA wanting Origin to be exclusive against its three PC client rivals. As indicated here, EA wanted to allow for in-game purchases of DLCs with purchase methods other than Steam wallet. Valve doesn't allow that, demanding that all Steam products solely utilize wallet for purchases made through the client itself (an ironic outcome of that is that several games I'm aware of claim to offer wallet purchasing, but intentionally break it, and then offer redirects to their websites to convince you to purchase there with credit card).
EA kept trying to get Valve to agree, Valve kept saying no, and EA finally threw in the towel, removed their most recently added games, and (as far as I'm aware) hasn't released a game on Steam since. Ie, "You won't play with us, we won't play with you."
Origin was being released at the same time this all was going on, so it's hard to say if EA was making excuses to leave the platform, if the circumstances were in part responsible for them making their own platform, or if the timing just encouraged EA's decision.

Be that as it may, the Crusader games were released over twenty years ago and GOG hasn't supported in-game purchases. Although with GOG Wallet that may change, as mentioned in their privacy policy, which I have no idea how to square with the stand against DRM since in-game purchases are essentially passive DRM, tying a game to a credit or debit card. The anarchic approach probably wouldn't square with EA, either. Or any other publisher besides their parents at CD Projekt. Which leads me to think micro-transactions might come to Gwent, or they'll be in Cyberpunk 2077 to some extent.
Anyway, the official explanation certainly makes sense with new games, and is quite reasonable: but EA has no compunction with letting a non-rival sell their classics.

Yikes, that poll's Sophie's Choice all over again.
I voted Heat Signature because I've watched Tom Francis work on it for a couple years and I hated to see it trailing the others. It looks like it combines a good mix of stealth and reflexes and panicked decision-making when you trip an alarm. I'd call it a Hotline Miami rogue-lite in space, but I don't want to sound dismissive of it - I have the impression from the dev blog Tom's been adding a lot of touches to it, so it should be a lot more than a glib summarization might imply.
Ruiner is probably the one I'm most tempted to buy right now and tear into. Under "Similar to games you've played" in Steam it lists Brigador and Hotline Miami, and that sounds about right. The cyberpunk setting looks appropriately grim and brutal, and from the reviews and videos it looks as though it carries through into the gameplay. There's something about a good, dark, ultraviolent isometric game that brings out an uncharacteristic bloodlust in me.
Ruiner also has the best release deals, with GameBillet and WinGameStore having both a discount and coupon code (ITAD link to current sale prices - not a referral link in itself, but if you go through it an buy from one of the stores listed, they'll add a referral link and it'll help support IsThereAnyDeal, a site I know many of us use heavily; according to /r/GameDeals, DreamGame also has it discounted, but it's a store I'm not familiar with).
Hob looks fantastic - the colorful, thick gearwork aesthetics remind me of Bastion, and the animation looks beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more of what the gameplay is like. It makes a nice contrast to Ruiner, though both look excellent.
Steamworld Dig 2 is the one I haven't been following. I never played the original, but the visuals look much improved. Under "Similar to games you've played" Steam suggests Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, but I'd have guessed Spelunky would have been closer.

I'm most interested in Heat Signature as well (Gunpoint has been my favourite game for a while.... so yeh).
RUINER is the sort of top-down shooter I'd be interested in, and I've been trying to get my hands on Hotline Miami too. (Hotline Miami 2 isn't available in Australia tho. Image should explain it)
If you do go and play SteamWorld Dig, you'll get a short but decent game. I'd recommend that you get your hands on it and if you moderately enjoyed that—go get SW 2. It makes a heap of improvements and adds a lot more puzzle elements to the game. SteamWorld Heist is also amazing—should give you a different genre.

Hotline Miami was down to US$1.99 in the recent Humble Store sale, with another 10% off for those with their Monthly subscription. Unless they put together a classics bundle or you can get it in trade, it's unlikely to drop any lower. There should be an autumn sale before too long. In the meantime, you can play Half-Line Miami for free:
It's a mashup of Hotline Miami (top-down gameplay and art style) and Half-Life 2 (characters, sound, and weapons). There's a level editor to go along with it.
Regarding the ban on HM2, they did cut back the scene such that the details cited in the ban weren't accurate, but the ban went through anyway. In response, the dev's suggested Australian gamers get the game by other means and even released a bugfix for the version folks were torrenting. Even though the game's banned with respect to sales, ads, and public demonstrations, simply possessing a copy is only a problem except in Western Australia, where the law is stricter. (I don't advocate piracy, but I appreciate the dev's thoughtfulness and mention it because the consideration it shows deserves recognition.)

I think Shantae is more accurate because both are metroidvania games. Spelunky and Steamworld Dig 2 have a cave setting, but Spelunky is a roguelike.

Cheers, I follow - I hadn't played the original and didn't see a Metroidvania tag, though I now see it's mentioned in the descriptions of both games. I thought there was procedural generation, which there isn't. I might have gotten that from reading about SteamWorld Heist, the last SteamWorld game I looked at (which of course is a a completely different game - turn-based tactical pirate ricochet-gunfights in space).

Very interested in Hob and Steamworld Dig 2. Might pick up Steamworld Dig 2 for the Switch at some point, although I haven't played the first one.

Nimbus looks alright. Probably has some good gameplay, but whatever the story is it sounds a bit cringe.

I noticed a few slick games came out in the past week.
Sure, only 4 games, but i thought some of you might be interested?
oblig
EDIT: I can also personally vouch for SW Dig 2. It's a great game and if you somewhat enjoyed the first one you should definitely pick it up. It improves a heap.
