How do you eat nutella?
I used to not like the taste either, but they changed the ingredients recently, so it doesn't taste like hazelnut anymore qx That's the whole reason I hated it before

I may be odd, but I don't like nutella on bread, no matter if with or without butter ;) But I like it other ways - as filling for crepes, on it's own eaten with a spoon, dipping various cookies/biscuits/etc in it, and my most fav option - dipping salty sticks in nutella :>

It tastes good with crackers too. Not sure if you've tried that before, but it's worth it ;)

I did and I enjoyed it, but my problem is that crackers (at least ones available in poland) crumble extremelly easy and often when I dip them into nutela they fall apart and half of the cracker remains in the jar ;p that's why I prefer Salty Sticks ;p

Ahh, yeah, Nutella is too thick to dip. Instead of dipping the crackers, spread the Nutella on the crackers, make it a sandwich! I usually make 5-10 little sandwiches, it takes a few minutes to prepare, but it's worth it ;)

I'm pretty sure there's a shitload of butter (or fat or whatever) in Nutella as it is.

Wow, thank you for sharing this infographic as it definitely puts perspective on what we're actually putting in our bodies when we eat our beloved Nutella. So while it is named after "nuts", Nutella mostly consists of highly processed ingredients that are further processed. I feel bad for liking this so much and I also wonder if the makers of this took out half the sugar, whether Nutella would still be delicious? 55% sugar seems excessive... Was it always that high?
Also, I found this great article for Nutella alternatives to any addicts out there: http://www.meghantelpner.com/blog/5-reasons-nutella-should-be-banned-from-your-breakfast-table/ (I'm one of them, sadly)

It's the same about how we think Cereal / cornflakes is good for you in the morning, it's also full of sugar atleast.

90% we probably don't know about all the crap we really eat.

I gave up cereal a long time ago for this reason. It's hard to find healthy breakfast food. I just usually make oatmeal (sans flavor or sugar) and add my own fruit and nuts and a little jam to sweeten b/c it tastes better, but we're talking a teaspoon. I wish I didn't get fed so much sugar growing up, but my parents didn't know any better. Now, I'm addicted to the stuff and have cavities to boot. Well, at least I'm not overweight or diabetic... yet.

I have diabetes type 2 (taking pills no insuline, and am not even overweight 193cm at 78kg) took 1 1/2 bottle of soda a day, 3 lumps of sugar in my tea etc etc. but when you are young you don't really know any better.
If there was one thing i could tell myself by going back in time, it would be to mind that (and alcohol).
Usually you learn the hard way.

I don't really know, i mean i still drink ice tea (still bad, but less sugar atleast then coke what i also drank alot, and i don't drink that amount anymore) but it probably also shifted in amounts i guess with 1 1/2 bottle being an all time high, in all i been drinking soda a good 15 years.
But on top of that i also like normal tea so that added alot of sugar too, i stopped adding sugar in my tea atleast for a few years now, you can get used to it, since a year ago i started jogging and my levels went to more stable, exercise is key, doesn't matter if you are skinny or overweight, nor only the overweight people are just the ones being unhealthy, its about metabolism and if mine was different i probably would have been overweight too by it all.
I don't really have alternatives as i don't eat really healthy as i want (and i really wish i could) at the moment because it's hard for several reasons (like not having my own place and getting my own groceries). When i can i probably resort to nuts and fruit too, but i also would want to cut down on meat, but i am afraid just eating alot of the same will get boring after a while.
Probably would indulge myself into something unhealthy and tasty probably once a while though, our body can take it, but in moderation.
I am sure there are plenty recipes when you google.

Fair enough~ Fifteen years is a long time, but not so long if you include the teen years.
I have two steamed eggs for breakfast sometimes. They are easy to make in my veg steamer basket. It takes about 6 minutes for the 2 eggs to be soft-boiled, but you can experiment. I also sometimes just skip breakfast and drink tea with only a teaspoon of milk until I have an early lunch. Honestly, I don't know if that's good or bad. I see stories claiming both. I just know that I have to avoid sugar and processed carbs as much as I can to be healthy--processed food in general should be avoided. It's just so hard with the Western diet, you know? Fruit is also very expensive for me in the US. And I get sugar cravings all the time. It's horrible. I wish I never had the stuff.

I sometimes skip breakfast too, you need to see your body as a car engine, treat it well.
If you have eaten (alot) the day before or are not hungry, why exhaust it?
Yeah it's hard, and not just sugar and processed carbs, salt too. 2 slices of bread and an oven pizza and you are already over your daily limit.
And witih fruit and vegetables there are the pesiticides, it's best to grow your own, but not many have that luxury.

Is your girlfriend or her family fat, or thin but still unhealthy, and/or have bad teeth? How often do they eat Nutella? I ask, because I am truly curious, not to be judgemental or anything like that. BTW, I cannot handle Nutella. I want to eat the whole jar so I never buy it since I am a total Nutellaholic. Though, I have never thought to eat it with anything but a spoon ;)

Well, she's only your girlfriend. It's not too late to exit the relationship. "She eats nutella with butter" seems like a perfectly valid reason to end things. This could be just the tip of the iceberg of weirdness. Save yourself, man!

I'll eat a stick of butter in honor of your union and in celebration of your future wonderful children.

Who? I've lived here my whole life and it's the first time I've heard about something like that...

With salted butter, of course. That is an unwritten law.

You are right. The fat in Nutella comes from a modified vegetable oil that is actually worse for you than something which naturally has fat:
"Vegetables don't make oil, which means these so-called "vegetable oils" need to go through a heck of a lot of processing in order to become Nutella. We love fat, but it needs to come from natural, unprocessed sources, otherwise we are eating cancer-contributing refined oils that only serve to promote inflammation in the body and challenge our heart, liver, brain, endocrine and nervous systems to function efficiently."
Vegan does not mean healthy.
