So I got a new PC 2 months ago. It's pretty awesome.

But it got one very annoying problem. My internet likes to randomly disconnect. Which can be really annoying if I'm in a middle of a multiplayer game. Most of the time internet is back on within the minute. If I reconnect the cable then pretty much as soon as the PC noticed the cable's been plugged in.

Anyone got a clue what the problem might be and/or how to fix it?

EDIT: Other PCs on my network got internet connection when my PC disconnects.
EDIT2: Something funny may or may not be going on in this post...
EDIT3: More info:
Tried changing router ports, cables between the 2 PCs on the network, nothing helped, other PC still had internet when mine lost connection.
Win7 64bit, up-to-date drivers etc etc.

Well there can be several reason for it. Maybe it is because of the cables from your provider or the provider itself. It might be the driver of your wlan/lan card. It could be a construction site near you which is causing this problem. It might be your operating system (especially Linux systems can be hard to configure).

This sums up possible hardware problems, there could be also software conflict. Altogether there are too many possible causes to this and with no usable info from you we can't help you. You need to eliminate all the things mentioned here until you find the problem.

Yep I got same problem for a few months now. All I can say it's probably your Windows or some installed programs that are messing with your networks and ditching DNS servers probably. Try reinstalling your Windows. It should work. In fact - I should reinstall mine but I'm to lazy so probably won't do it anytime soon.

Go to control panel which should be in the windows task bar when hitting the windows key. Then go to Network and Internet then network and sharing. Then click were it says local area connection, then in local area connection click properties. In properties untick the box next to internet protcol version 6(TCP/IPV6).Then click ok and close everything, should look like(click the blue text to see) this when you untick it. This should help, stopped that same problem on my other computer when the computer would suddenly lose internet connection for no reason.

Dude, IPv6 is required. Why? Because of the chance for IPv4 addresses to run out. And not only that. IPv6 will essentially remove the need for network address translation (NAT) and it enhance security of the TCP/IP stack. If there will be problems with IPv4 and you get new IP address from your provider you might get in trouble because you have IPv6 unchecked and it's just not used. Just search in Google for more information about IPv6 but I suggest to turn it back on. Problem is probably in Hamachi, Tunngle or some other programs that have their own networks. They are just messing with your internet network and breaking it.

it's not required if your modem doesn't support ipv6 then it doesn't matter and most providers haven't shifted so most still use ipv4 and don't seem to have moved on at all and is optional atm.Ipv6 will slow down or disconnect you at times from the network if your modem doesn't support ipv6.They will most likely offer you a modem upgrade to ipv6 when the whole world has shifted and when it does he can turn it back on as for now all it does is make you lose the connection which happened on my other desktop and it didn't have any other programs interfering like you mentioned.

DSL ADSL or Cable?
I had DSL that would reconnect every 4 hours and 10 minutes. Turns out I was on some kind of repeater.
Reconnecting your cables is good to simply check for Layer 1 issues, but I bet it's not you or your PC.
