Aren't most people doing this already? Da fuq do I need that site for?

So if I "sign" your virtual petition thingy, I'll get "more bang for my buck in the near future"? What does that even mean?

I was actually being random with the wording, but you can see it this way:
If the petition actually works out and you end up buying xbox one, one's value is going to be more worthy of your money spent with it. Hence why i said the random "more bang for your buck" literally meaning "more value for what you pay for".

I would get a xbox one if:
-no online checks
-price drop to 400€ or less (375€ or 350€)
-no kinect BS included because it's useless to me and it's just there to boost up the price of the console
-the used games policy is a minor factor to me, but also counts towards the hatred
That said, one can dream so high, right? I don't have any reason to buy ps4 so far, if microsoft doesn't turn things the way they should be, most likely i won't be buying none of them and stick with pc gaming instead.
I'm more interested on the xbox because of the exclusives, i got the previous 2 consoles and got a collection of exclusives that i want to get completed. Now being able to accomplish this pisses me off because it's something i have in mind for about 10 years now.
Ps: Don't get me wrong, i like both systems equally in the past, it's just that i don't like their approach this time.

I guess some people think they'd be sending Microsoft a message.
The problem with that line of thinking is that someone at Microsoft looked at proposals for mandatory kinect, mandatory online, killing game trading, partnership with PRISM, taking out the start button in Windows 8, adding back the start button as a shortcut to the metro screen in Windows 8.1, the ribbon interface for Office, Halo 2 for Vista... Okay, I'm getting a little carried away here.
Basically, someone saw those proposals, greenlighted them, and the whole company ran with it. Any person with half a lick of sense could have argued successfully that this shit is stupid and would alienate consumers (especially if Sony didn't follow suit), but Microsoft embraced it and poured their efforts into it.
Their heads were already far up their asses well before the announcement press conference. It was miles up ever since they ever considered it a good idea to screw over their customers. Nothing consumers can say or do can get through to them. The only answer is to do nothing: Don't buy their console. Microsoft will be forced to either learn from their failure or die because of it. Either option would be an improvement.

I should get one so I know the Microsoft overlords are always watching me and protecting me from myself.
Also to show them how I look walking around in the nude, but thats not a main reason...

ps4 - the same deal.
devs can still make their games "you have to be online faggot" on a ps4.
consoles on general, like they are today, are dead to me. (exception would be nintendo...they'll survive...like always)
why still making new home console in the first place? today, they are merely limited and restricted PCs. focus on handhelds...they can be made really, REALLY powerful and would be competetive against IOS/Andriod devices. now give those the possibility to hook them up on a flatscreen, make it regionfree and available for indie/private developers to code stuff runable by such a device, no DRM and you reach pretty much any target audience possible. (and make tons of money...isn't that enough motivation sony/microsoft?)
i wonder why microsoft, known for windows (which is known for NOT being limited/restricted) giving birth to such a fail...well, sony will do it maybe slightly better. (maybe...slightly...if even)
it's still all about "cock-a-doody - armairs" on launch on both consoles. (which will also be sold for PC...with, well build and optimised mid-high end PC's, better graphics and framerates)
all hail the PC master race. (and good old nintendo)

the very second when i saw win8, i facepalmed, then hated on microsoft, then stopped caring...i just didn't bought and bothered with it.
microsoft fails alot lately. gotta be as good as spying as facebook and google huh? didn't knew they hopped on the spy train as well.
well, their latest IE commercial advertises privacy...because it's a company about internet and computers, such a commercial can't be trusted i guess. (no sarcasm)
but i stopped using IE 6 years ago, so w/e.

21 countries on launch, they promised more to come after release.
Thing is, will they really keep the promise even if the system has a total fail in the sales department?
My guess is that they won't bother with it and will try to fix w/e is making them get little profits this gen, and when that happens, it will be far too late.

xBox relays on its fan-base of halo and other xBox exclusives, and the fan base wouldn't boycott for some petty reason, so this "boycott" is pointless.

I wouldn't consider it a petty reason. People like me who live in suburban areas often have their internet service go out. And the "tethering" solution often requires an expensive data plan.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, that's a different case, it is a major problem in your case, but most people who complain have a perfectly stable internet connection.

Well i'm living nearly the samething as him, the difference being is that my internet isn't unstable to the point of constantly loosing connection, it does happen but it's not often. The problem is that internet services are crappy for the area i live in.
It's like i would pay for a 20Mb connection speed and only get 5-6 tops from it at best. That's like 120 kb/s download speed at it's peak, sometimes goes a little higher than that but that's the average speed for me when downloading stuff.

Maybe the new Microsoft policy updates will change your minds?
