On Steamtrades, you can get a copy of XCom for about 10 bucks and BL2 is ~14, and that's USD, which comes out to about 16 pounds for the both of them.

Not a 2K game and Skyrim is bad.

You do know I'm being sarcastic...

and what makes Skyrim bad?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Skyrim puts so much emphasis on how big the world is everything else is average at best.
Combat was still more of the same, and barely provides any real challenge, story is mediocre, characters are bland and bring no life or personality, and dungeons are fun until you get sick and tired of how simple they are.

No taste Compass. While we agree on FF7 and Chrono Trigger....... Skyrim is not bad. It's the anti-bad.

It's not bad but it is severely overrated. Particularly if you played previous Elder Scroll games and Oblivion.

Shameful story (I liked the taste we got but it was an after thought), shameful, old, stale dungeon designs. Shameful, uncreative side quests, too much bloat, crappy combat (though "best" for ES is still bad overall). What makes it all shameful is that it is anything but original and almost all rehash. I could go on but it might cause fanboys to bleed through their ears.

I think it says a lot that a game with SO MANY flaws can still be pretty damn fun to play, but to act like it doesn't have many faults is disingenuous to the discerning gamer who's already been there, done that...

I listed the reasons above. It seemed that Bethesda wanted skyrim appeal to new players to the open-world genre and nothing more.

Two games for €8 isn't that great. Amazon does better, but still good deal if you don't have a credit card.

25 euro for Borderland2 nad Xcome?!? not in bundle you colde buy it (both games) for 20$... This is mega fail for me...

I think Borderlands GOTY + Bioshock 2 for $10 is very good if you haven't got them yet.

Although you can also spend $6 for Borderlands GOTY on Gamefly + $5 for Bioshock Franchise on Amazon = $11. A dollar higher but you get Bioshock 1.

I don't see how 85% off normal price is considered a "terrible" or "horrible" deal.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

becouse you must buy 2 games to get that "great" deal, and all this games stand alone was on better sale stand alone

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

because they were already been much cheaper elsewhere, and 85%off its just when you buy every single one.

XCOM was offered everywhere as part of BI's preorder. Many games of the second deal were available in similar bonuses. So plenty of spare keys/gifts floating around in trading and giveaway circles.

Both XCOM and BL2 has been indivudually available for 10-15 dollars during sales these last 2 or 3 months now.

And the rest of games have gotten "sales bundle" before, in which they either offered more than just two games for the same price, or at least more than 4 2K titles for a bit more than 10 dollars (but less than 20).

My question is can you, currently at this point in time, buy all of these games for only $48? What they have been on sale for in the past is a bit irrelevant if those sales/deals aren't running any more.

Permalink

Problem is - they were cheaper. If someone didn't bought it when they were cheaper, why they would buy them now, when they cost more?
That "all for -85%" isn't THAT bad deal if you'll find someone who didn't bought most of them already...

Because some people might not have known about the previous deals, or did/do not have access to them.

I can see someone saying that this deal is not as good as some of the deals that have previously run for these games, sure. That's completely fair. But to flat-out say that this is a terrible/horrible/bad deal as some have done here is just not true in any way. It's a very good deal. It's just not quite as good as some previous deals.
