Someone else already left links to Bulgarian music, so I'm just gonna leave here a particular favourite of mine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqCqbd8-4Xc
Also, this one's from a neighbouring country, but it deserves all the exposure it can get: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3sJB2tcoJY

毛不易《消愁》Xiao Chou (Direct translation would be, um, melancholy?):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZbswFDOOsY << This one is the official MV, with no English subtitles.
This song is about growing up and coming to terms with all the ups and downs life have to offer us.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DgO4vQQ3P8 << This one is the live version, but it has English subtitles.
毛不易《不染》Bu Ran (Direct translation would be untainted):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDV36GmFP20 << This one lets you enjoy the song as it is, without English subtitles.
I got hooked into this song ever since I've stumbled upon the drama related to this song. A user pointed out that this might be a character theme song, describing the regret that said character had for his childhood, his unrequited love for the heroine and the misfortune that fate had brought him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7Zz7iVl0g4 << This version has English subtitles, but an MV is included (with spoilers).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nbanJBgcxw&t=100s << I've found someone who made a Guzheng (Chinese zither) cover of this song, it's pretty neat! So I've decided to include this one into the collection as well.
周深 郭沁《大鱼》Big Fish :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti5fdLn-ZTg << This one isn't the official one, it's a recording of a competition. No English subtitles.
I might be wrong for this interpretation, but I feel like it's about the conflicting feelings of a parent, wanting their child to be independent, but at the same time didn't want the kid to leave their side.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aMdBA00Ijc << This one includes English subtitle, with the original singer, Zhou Shen, only.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXgfFmBFtlY << Guqing version, with no vocal, just duo Guqing.
And some bonus songs, if you're interested:
郭沁《紫》Purple (a cover):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xj_C5Iscqig << This song is about the love between Sun Wukong (the monkey king) and his lover, Zixia, from the Journey to the West folklore. Long story short, Wukong and Zixia used to be flowers that grew next to each other that eventually took shape of a monkey and a celestial maiden. A while later, because of an accident, Zixia almost died, Wukong was given a golden headband that could save Zixia. However, there was a catch, if he was to wear it, he would forget all the memories he shared with Zixia and accompany Tang Sanzang, a monk, to the West to reach enlightenment.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8Z5MQBeneE << This one is the original, but it's an MV to a movie (with spoilers).
云の泣 & 葉里 《畫地為牢》Restricting:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41Co5jdbGLE << Sorry, this one doesn't have English subtitles, and it's too complex for me to translate.
I picked a handful of songs for you. Didn't want to add anymore and overwhelm you. Yup. :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yFVOH5gGVU - these guys started out as some kind of parody group.. Eventually people started to like their songs and they have become somewhat of party anthems in Latvia.
Some songs from them :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0f9PGBQlPbI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceIeyyplTGY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N6snsO3urg (direct translation - partying, not sleeping)
I wouldnt say I listen to them much, but when the right amount of whiskey/vodka/beer is involved these go on repeat
One of the more serious groups would be Prāta Vētra (brainstorm - they go by their English name for songs in English. They sing in Russian, too)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK-nWjCYXPQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEDE1NS_Vxo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKASX-nzP-o
From rock this one comes to mind - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydd-7H4gtXE There are probably better examples, but cant recall others ATM
From hip hop - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6q7KV33J3s , hip hop has blossomed in the last years in Latvia, more songs and more artists, but I dont listen much so cant recommend more..
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyviHmEkklJIQexk3h5t2YK5ujkQQExBo - heres a playlist with other songs if anyones interested. These are mostly older stuff and most likely not something that would appeal to foreigners. But here it is if anyones interested..

Well i am maybe a bit late but time to dig down in my "Finnish music" library.
First as i am a history nut i am gonna recommend the "savior of viipuri" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NorgJ0zivAA
during ww2 the Russians had planted radio mines and to stop them from exploding the Finnish army played this song 1500 times on repeat whit out pause for 3 days, thus stopping the mines from being used.
Now whit my history song out of the way lets get to modern days.
a Finnish rock band whit a greek singer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZcWVsDSqpE
Dont remember more but will info i do.
good rest of the day

Folk metal from North-Western Italy, they play all over Europe every year, and they sing all in Italian! The DVD covers only their first 3 albums, they are definitely worth to be seen live even if you don't know the language ;)
(no matter when the topic was created - it's a suggestion forever valid xD)

For some reason I've been listening to stuff with German lyrics a lot the past few months. Rammstein's included, but too obvious to list.
Slightly less obvious:
Tanz mit Mir - Laibach
Peter Fox - Alles neu
Deichkind - Leider Geil
Kraftwerk - Computerliebe

So I have been listening to some cool stuff from countries like Norway, France and Denmark recently and would love if you would post some favorites from your country! Genre doesn't matter, I'm nearly into anything except for "gangsta rap".
Thanks in advance! Also check my profile for some GAs I recently created.
