Mining?
I haven't done it.
It seems that I also procured a personal computer for humankind and left the personal computer on until the room became hot to help with the calculation.📡

Recently, it seems that there are some mining acts that also serve as academic calculations.
I'm interested in such things, but I'm skeptical about those that don't seem like a waste of energy consumption.

e? Do you say it's wasteful to help find an alien?
All right.
We do not guarantee your existence when your companions come to Earth.👽 ∑(・Θ・ノ)ノ

So... you mean that you pay them to mine for you or...?
If you don't pay, then they are using your computer lol

Ummm... isn't the amount of money/currency you get as reward reaaaaaly low?
Wouldn't it be just better to do a survey once in a while?

Permalink

Yes, it is really, really, really low. But if you can't find surveys in your country (or get rewards after 15 minutes of answering about a lot of products to get in the end "you are not what we are looking for." ). It is also easier, just click and leave.

When you say really low... If you don't mind me asking, is it enough to cover your electricity bill?

Depends where you live. But you won't mine, just enter on a site, click, watch an ad, prove you are not a robot, click again and leave or something like that.

So wait, you are not actually mining then? What resources does such a website require then?

I am not sure I understand, does the site use your ram then? You just stay on it and a counter goes up or something?

...so how does a site like that make money then?

As Artyrogue told you, it's filled with ads and you get a share of the money they get by you watching them.

correct. faucet sites are basically the crypto equivalent to other sites like swagbucks or instagc. many just have you watch ads, but some let you do other things like take surveys or give crypto in exchange for signing up for things or downloading android/ios games.

Nice pyramid schemes.

And how can be doing nothing be a hobby?

I won't claim that this is a pyramid scheme, but you are also wrong about pyramid scheme's not paying out money. If they wouldn't pay during the initial stage(s), a pyramid scheme wouldn't work. They only stop paying when it finally collapses.

The first ones entering into the schemes got the most profits. Because mining in the initial stage it's easy and faster.

In your case, you're entering last in the race, that's why you get little profits.

well, afaik we have the most expensive electricitybill worldwide, mining wouldn't be as productive as in new sealand as an example. I personally dont have the knowledge how the miningprocess works. the only things i know about mining is, that gpu's are mostly used for monero and etherium mining, asic are more profitable for bitcoin mining and that gpu's are mostly downclocked and ram is overclocked as high as possible.

No idea which faucets you use, but make sure to cash out as soon as you hit the payout minimum limit, seen many of them suddenly close and disappear

lol. Unless you don't pay for your own electricity, there's no reason to be mining on a consumer level. You'd be better off just investing.

How old are you? Surely that hourly can’t be worth it to anyone that’s graduated high school.

Value your time appropriately, folks.

I asked because such a paltry pay rate is only worth it if you aren’t employable, i.e. too young to work. Getting paid cents per hour is severely undervaluing your own time.
