Congrats on your upcoming wedding and work recognition. Always nice to hear some GOOD news for a change. Sad news about your fiance's dad though. The lovely train is a nice bonus for us :)

My condolences to you and your fiancee, and it's a bit sad to hear that her dad won't make it to your wedding, but I bet he knew you would make his daughter happy.
Glad to hear that work is going well, promotions mean you're doing a fantastic job, so keep up like that!
And the best of wishes for your wedding, this time will be the one, for sure :D

Glad to see it hasn't been all bad! COVID has been a massive irritation, especially given some people's responses (or lack thereof) to it. Enjoy your wedding, and have a blessed rest of your lives together!

It's been well over 6 months since I last updated on SG. To be honest, I wasn't planning on doing a written update, and just wanted to do the GA dump and be done.
I haven't been on SG much over this time, but I've "leached" some GAs, etc. and actually won some 20+ GAs. As such, I felt it necessary to provide at least a mini update.
I gave a fairly detailed update about a year ago, here. Continuing from there, there has been a further 2 postponements of my wedding. The first time the date was moved was due to a second wave of COVID-19 causing some planning around vendor bookings as well as getting everyone we wanted at the venue, them having cut down the max capacity.
This wasn't too much of an issue for us. The second postponement, however, hit far closer to home. Sadly, my fiance lost her dad in December, which was a major loss. At that stage, we were even considering not doing a full wedding and looking at alternatives. However, after some discussions with family and friends, we decided to proceed, using the occasion to honour his memory as well. We are now 2 months away from that date. We're about 50% through planning, so it'll be a bit of a rush during this time, which is extremely difficult for us to manage given our workloads and after-hours commitments. So, here's hoping everything runs smoothly between now and then.
On a slightly more positive side, both myself and fiance have been recognised at our respective workplaces. The rating systems, etc. means that we're due increases and a potential bonus on my end, which should at least take care of all the wedding stuff without dipping into our savings, which we'd like to use for a house later in the year (also postponed as a result of the above-mentioned).
Anyways, I've added a 50-cart train of leftovers since my last GA dump. Majority of these are bundle extras, so hoping no one minds, and that none of the keys/links are faulty or previously redeemed. Thanks for all the support over the year, and wishing everyone success and pursuit of happiness for the rest of 2021.
Your travel journey begins here!
