These used to be a bit more common back in the 90's and early 2000's, but then they went out of style. Also they were usually paid games back then.
Probably the most (in)famous example being Pepsiman for the PS1.

Oh, I thought the branding looked familiar. Always associated that with emergency hiking food, people would keep a pack of this in their backpack for if things really got band and they got lost, or like an extreme MRE where the only thing that mattered was just having enough calories to last you through the day, with no regards for anything else.

It's a Japanese brand, but most people (in the west at least) probably associiate it with Metal Gear Solid 3, where its a full heal food item in the game.
They are also appealing to Metal Gear Solid fans with the use of Liquid Snakes voice actor (I think, I'm not sure), and I guess it's also a play on the fact that they have a drink product line.
