⚠️ Region lock ⚠️

The bundle is not available in some countries belonging to the commonly region-locked regions (LATAM, SEA, RU/CIS) (confirmed from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Japan, India, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Ukraine, Venezuela).
At least for USA purchases, the subs seem to be store subs and are largely redeemable worldwide (with some exceptions, see below).
EU probably receives the same ROW keys as USA (not confirmed yet).

USA subs reported so far:
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE: {sub/54474} - can be redeemed everywhere
Little Nightmares: ?
NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM: ?
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 2: ?
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst: probably {sub/31825} based on this comment; if this is the case, then it can be redeemed everywhere but not in Japan
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM Revolution: {sub/49081} - can be redeemed everywhere APART FROM Japan
One Piece World Seeker: {sub/222699} - can be redeemed everywhere APART FROM Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, India, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Viet Nam, Japan
ONE PIECE PIRATE WARRIORS 3: {sub/77079} - can be redeemed everywhere
ONE PIECE BURNING BLOOD: ?
Sword Art Online: Lost Song: {sub/262448} - can be redeemed everywhere
Tales of Berseria: {sub/88977} - can be redeemed everywhere APART FROM Japan
Tales of Symphonia: {sub/68396} - can be redeemed everywhere
Tales of Zestiria: {sub/79775} - not the store sub (same content thouhgh), but it can be redeemed everywhere

Japan here. Cant see anything with this bundle. Currently I rate Bandai as bad as EA and Ubisoft . Not only we cant buy these bundles. Most of the game was delisted here (E.g: Tales of Besberia, God Eater 2) for no reason. In fact, all this bundle except for Sword Art Online are delisted here.

An FYI for those considering getting this. Fanatical is showing that some countries won't even be able to activate the games.

Afghanistan, Japan, China, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Sudan, Russia Federation, Republic of Kosovo, Viet Nam, Singapore, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Ukraine, Syrian Arab Republic, Venezuela are a few countries that are showing on Fanatical that can't.

So, as expected from Fanatical, this list is just random.
The keys are largely ROW, they're just too lazy to deal with region-locked keys, so they prefer not to sell the bundle to LATAM / SEA / RU/CIS.

I would have flipped out if they bundled We Love Katamari today after I bought it yesterday. These aren't bad prices but I will probably pass cuz even though I'm missing 5, I'm mostly just interested in SAO Lost Song. No need to pay $3.33 each for 3-5 games when I can just get the 1 game I want for under $4

100% Pass on any game that has season passes.

Bamco has godawful DLC sales, I'll never risk buying anything from them that isn't a complete edition.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Not all require season passes. e.g. NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja 1, 2 and 3. Also Tales of Symphonia and Sword Art Online: Lost Song do not have any DLC

Comment has been collapsed.

The point is that they are packing base games only (not complete editions) when DLCs are there for the said games.
For example, Little Nightmares is the base game only. There is no point if they can't even offer the complete edition of a six-year-old game.

Multiple games have none / only skin DLCs, that was the point of their comment lol, not every game is equal

Yeah, which is why I edited my original message to specify those games with season passes.

Some of these games are fine to buy at this price. I just don't want people to make the same mistake I did with Soul Calibur V...

+1
The bundle is worthless, even at the cheaper price.

I avoid these DLC simulators when I can. It's quite a cheap tactic to sell a product.

Bandai Namco is among the worst offenders when it comes to product availability in certain regions, absurd region pricing on Steam, and mostly packing base games in bundles for third-party sellers. EA and other such companies are better compared to BN.

Bamco doesn't add a bullshit 10-30% tax on my game prices on Steam though.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I agree. EA and Ubisoft add taxes to their own stores, but they also do not add that to Steam sales.
Bandai Namco would have done the same if they had their own launcher worldwide.

Bandai Namco games (as well as DLCs) are way overpriced in my region (it's hard to relate to this point sometimes if one is living in first-world or Tier 1 regions).

Other big companies that may fall into this bracket are Square Enix, Activision, 2K and Capcom.

Note: This bundle is good if one is looking for games with no DLCs. Otherwise, it's a pass.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

... uh, no. I mean that EA and other companies like Microsoft and Capcom sell games on Steam at a 10 to 30% higher price in my region (Mexico) when compared to the US price.

EA and Ubisoft actually sell their games on their respective stores for cheaper. No sales tax. Ubi even gives me regional pricing.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

In my region, Ubisoft doesn't sell in my currency. We have to pay in euros plus taxes. So, it becomes unaffordable to purchase from their store. Microsoft, on the other hand, doesn't apply region pricing to individual games (same for Sony).
But Xbox Game Pass is quite affordable (due to good region pricing).
