Hardest game i've ever played was Hotline Miami and this is coming from a guy who has mastered Darksouls 1 and 2

The hardest game I ever played was My Little Pony. It was a challenge not to rip out my eyes while playing.
Serious Answer Dark Souls never seen a game be so brutal to people who die.

the way I first beat it? invest everything into health. equipload, and get around 8 attunement slots and just use pyromancies and the gravelord sword. also use The darksouls fextralife wiki.

Bullet hell hardest difficult
Especially Touhou Lunatic mode xD

Yeah I don't find Darksouls 1 & 2 that hard (Bloodborne too)
There are harder games like indie games
One of them is called Give Up or something like that, I think

a hard survival indie game I've played is NEOscavenger. not really hard in a traditional sense but eventhough all combat is text based one wrong fight can leave you severly bleeding and you die 2 turns later after a 3hr run plus the game is permadeath. Or you meet a blue frog cultist and catch blue rot. I mainly die from the second reason.

Well permadeath game is pretty difficult
Because you're playing it under pressure
Not to mention the regret and sadness after you killed your character
Well anyway just find a fun game! Frustrating game isn't good for health xD

Probably The Binding of Isaac since after having played for over 20 hours I still haven't beaten Mom...
Either this or Call of Cthulhu, it was really hard too

Yeah, it's amazing. I think the original is harder, but Rebirth has so much more stuff, so if you ever want to play it get Rebirth

Mark of the Ninja.
I'm awful at stealth games, and MOTN is a good one. It might not even be hard, but I'm so awful.. ugh. I'm too frightened of being detected because I hate adrenaline rushes when you get spotted.

On a more serious note, old Nintendo noir-movie-tie-in titles. Dick Tracy I could never figure out, just wandering around town kind of aimlessly while roof-snipers shoot at my police cruiser. And Who Framed Roger Rabbit was so frustrating that I once hit a family member. Of course, the TV was also poorly-shaped, so I couldn't see the joke answers that could get you free of the Weasels.
