FYI this isn't the cheapest it has ever been.

Alien Day 2020 (4/27) the base game was $2 USD and then people could get the Season Pass (for $4 USD) along with Crew Expendable & Last Survivor (for less then $2 USD) from I think Humble at the same time.

If you own a VR headset play it in VR using MotherVR mod, amazing experience.

By amazing you mean good fun or near-death? ;-)
I'm not convinced I would survive that in VR.
But you young and healthy people go ahead. ;-)

At first it's overwhelming to play scary games in VR, no doubt. After a while you do get used to it. It's not something I would recommend for someone first time VR experience, but for someone who's used to the VRiness of it all - it quickly becomes the only way to play horror games.

Besides what's a heart-attack or two to pay for amazing horror. :)

You could say an experience to die for ;) One of the scariest if not the scariest game out there.

Its from Alienware arena. You have weekly steam quests for some games that gives you points you can use on cosmetics for you AWA-tar? I think you can call that, for artifacts to help you get more points, and of course games from their monthly vault of games.
I hope I've explained this well enough :D

I own the base game and 2 DLC already, so for me the Complete Your Collection budnle at 85% off is cheaper:

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/44566/Alien_Isolation__The_Collection/

Edit: actually, for what I'm missing the Season Pass on Fanatical is slightly cheaper:

If you have Humble Bundle Choice 20% passive discount it costs 5.99€
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/alien-isolation-the-collection

Also cheap directly from Steam if you have the other 2 games: 6.74€
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/14219/Alien_Bundle/

A fair warning, the season pass does NOT include all the dlcs, in fact it is missing some story dlcs, so you are better off buying or completing the full collection.

Yeah.
I don't know why they announce an Early Development stage.
That could just mean they're looking at ideas and nothing may ever come out of it.
If the Studio is still around at all in 5-10 years 😀
