Probably depends on where you activate it

Most likely cut since somebody mentioned when they attempted to make a gift link they got an error stating that because the German version is censored they won't be allowing gift copies of the game.

Not sure if the actual key would allow you to bypass the block though.

Wouldn't that logically make it uncut? I mean, why would they limit gifting the "light" version? I'd guess it's uncut, and they limit gifting it so it won't reach the countries where it shouldn't be in its uncut form.

It will be activated as South Park (DE), so it's the cencored Version. ROW-Keys got an activation -lock for germany, you would need VPN to activate a ROW-Key.
Btw. Cuts are very slightly (Swastikas cencored) and there's also an uncut patch

not directly related to the topic but I have to ask for someone who is in germany...
I've never understand the real deal of censored versions for germany...
swastikas and nazis themes (or other censored stuff) are triggers on germany or this is a punishment for nazi episodes?

Those symbols are just forbidden by law so that remaining parts of the ideology can not use the symbolik further. It was probably established after the war as safety measurement. For today you can argue if it is still making sense.

It is probably more like a statement that we don't want to associate again with such things. It is all stupid, annoying and somehow understandable. I think as parody it should be allowed as it is for arts. But there is probably the fear that it will be misused.

The censorship exists because of how sensitive the subject is for the German people. A lot of what happened to the Germans (from 1918 to 1989) has been buried and hidden from "history," and you can only find it through careful searching of libraries. Suffice it to say that they have good reason for the censorship.

Hi, probably this question has been answered somewhere else, but if I had to gift the game, giving out the key to the winner, would it work even on a german account? if not, would it give an error? How can I give it away or I shouldn't bother? :p
