If you click on the Enhanced Steam add-on, then click the "Credits" tab there are 3 programmers. They may know what is going on.

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense. Same rights its always had, now Google requires it (domain rights) to be fully spelled out.

Today I noticed that Enhanced Steam wasn't working. Chrome automatically disabled it because it requires new permissions.

I know that permissions on Chrome addons and Android apps tend to sound a lot more frightening than they actually are. That said, the words "change your data" worried me a tiny bit. Does this just mean that it changes how the web page displays? Or am I actually giving it permission to change things within my account? I'm expecting it to be the former, but the latter would be quite worrisome.
