Heyo,

I just received an alert on Steam that 'SpellForce 2 - Demons of the Past' was revoked due to problems processing the payment. Anyone else got this? I won the game here last Christmas and am trying to figure out whether it's a general problem or the Ga creators fault.

Unmark the "received" box, and contact the giveaway creator ASAP.
Right now, you're shown as having an unactivated win, so you risk suspension.

+1
ill also add that i still have my copy of spellforce 2 as well so its likely the GA creator got his copy from somewhere untrustworthy and it got revoked.

Looking at what the gifter gifted i think it's probably just some mistake with a payment.

Got message about Deadfall Adventures (4th sept 2015). I'm sure that I have bought the game myself via some bundle, gotta do some digging and write an email to the bundlesite after I found the guilty one ^^

According to IsThereAnyDeal.com the game was only bundled twice, by Humble Bundle and Bundle Stars. Shouldn't take you too long to find out. :)

Key was from G2A.

I actually said to untick "received", not to tick "not received"...
Better use some diplomacy, right?

I see, didnt even realise you could untick and leave it blank afterwards. Thanks for the tip!

Well, aren't we here to help each other :)
I think that unticking is possible only after a week, that's like saying that we didn't receive a game yet.
While it doesn't change anything for the winner, the giveaway creator will have a gift "awaiting feedback" instead of an unsent one.

Other way around - you can untick all time, but you can mark Not Received after a week.

There was a mail going around from Luckyrandomkeys stating their opinion on G2A and stolen keys.
It also said that steam would revoke any stolen key they found, so that might be what happened to some of you.
The article they included can be found here.
Basically it means, if you happened to be unlucky enough to have bought or received a stolen key, you're screwed.

I made a giveaway for Spellforce and was revoked, and made for Full Spectrum Warriors: Ten Hammers too and was revoked, and a giveaway that I won for Death Rally was revoked too. Don't know what's happening, but hope that is just a Steam problem.

Is there any way to see the revoked history? I had a window from Steam open but it was empty/badly formatted, now I fear I had something revoked but I don't know how to check! :/

Well, this is an... interesting situation worth following. I never buy games outside of verified stores, but I mean, in general it's something we should be interested in. Also, it reveals the sad truth that we have no idea where the keys we win come from.

And that's why I only enter giveaways where the key origin is explicitly stated, and I always state it in my own giveaways too.

Since you were wondering, the revoked keys were bought on g2a from what turned out to be a scammer. the GA creator got me and the others new keys from bundlestars now.
