I also would like to give away free games, but where do you get all these games? I don't think ppl are buying them and giving it away.

I got for example 3 dota invites from playdota, gave two here, I'm a 20$ contribuitor... I even won a 20$ contribuitor giveaway. Also people still have games from winter holiday salew hen everybody got gifts and usually people made multiple accounts, there were farmers with hundreds of accounts. They got banned.

People give away games because it makes them feel good in their hollow thin chest!

The game fairy drops off stacks of games at good little gamers houses every night.
Where did you THINK they came from?

Most of them are bundles people buy for $1 and give away individually.

There is only 1 key for whole bundle (at least on Humble Bundle) and it's named like "Humble Bundle #3" (f.e.) when you activate it on Steam. You can't giveaway games separately.

That's not the case with Indie Royale, Indie Gala, or the Groupees ones. And people try to abuse that fact to the max (buying the bundle for $1, then giving the games out individually which boost their contributor stats significantly).

That only applies to Humble Bundles. Every other one gives separate keys, which is why 75% of of giveaways at any given time are from them if you actually count.

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of people buying them and getting them for free. With all the giveaways here, I don't think it's possible for every game to have been a free copy from some source. People must be buying at least some of them.

You get them from this online storefront known as 'Steam'

You simply add a game to your cart and purchase it into your inventory.

Then you make a giveaway on this website, and when someone wins, you send the game you purchased to their email address (which is supplied by this website).

I hope that helped.

I pickpocket Valve employees when they are at lunch and force the tradeable games into my inventory through a USB port.
Seemed like the reasonable thing to do.
