I had this happen to me, but I keep track of all my trades in a text file. I contacted the user and after he didn't respond, I changed the trade feedback to negative and explained what happened. After a while, he did contact me back, apologized, and provided a new key.
I did some google searching and you were talking about trading for a copy of Resident Evil Revelations in this thread 8 months ago.. I'm not sure if this is the correct game or if you even made the trade, but it is all I could find.

Nice detective work! But no that was a trade for the full revelations game not the DLC.

Great idea! That narrows it down to 2 people but I still can't be sure which.
Edit: Found the guy and changed feedback. Thanks for the tip!

I just had a game I traded for a year ago (Resident Evil Revelations: Ep 2 Penal Colony) removed from my steam account citing an unauthorized key.
I don't know what, if any, recourse I would have in this situation but it's from before they moved trading to a different site so I can't even figure out who traded the key to me.
Just going to have to write it of as a loss I suppose but thought I'd share.
