There's hardly a referral.

To use certain parts of this site, you have to add the game to your wishlist, so you're not doing anything different.

These rules are for Third party giveaways. missed comparison.

@pb1: You misunderstood what I was talking about. Let me be more specific. You can participate in specific GAs on SG, such as the wishlist page, which only works when you sync your Steam account where it retrieves your wishlist info. That wishlist is on Steam, which requires you to click the button to add the game to your wishlist. This would be the same action that a page like theirs might ask, which is merely doing the same thing that you would do to use this site. Tl;dr: That rule is contradictory to ban it when the site itself functionally allows the same actions taken.

Oh, I learned years ago that its no idea to argue with this user. Whenever he think he is right, he wont admit he is wrong. Even if you would quote the complete rule and example they give in that rule and even mention this is why they banned (forgot what the site was called) GAs, becuase they forced you to like facebook pages etc, he wont change his mind because he belive this rule is only if the link has a referral for some reason because thats the first example.

@madsession: I have no idea what you are even talking about, as I have never argued about that. What I do remember is putting you on my blacklist after the whole episode with someone and his friend spamming GAs which missed their targets to cause those people to be irate about it, they attacked wigglenose who also pointed out their problematic behavior, and even I was the one to point out the SG rules and threw at them the whole dictionary definition of the word. So far, their behavior has ceased for now. Sorry, but you're not arguing in good faith.

Edit, yeah. Gleam was the site I thought of, wrote gamivo first but realized it was a key selling site :)
And funny enough, topic was closed because of this rule.

Edit2: Lol point proven. As you can see. He conflate a function this site has that can match GAs thats on your steam wishlisht, with a third party giveaway that force you to wishlist their game in order to win, just to prove he was right that its not a bad comparison.

I dont remember what the topic was where you were wrong. I think I have talked to you twice and this is the third time. Funny moments/comments on all these occations. I had to bookmark this post in order to see what the respons was, and I was not disappointed.

These types of 3rd party giveaways the require special actions are against our guidelines. This is a warning, but next time action will be taken against your account. Please read the FAQ and Guidelines to prevent any issues moving forward.

Third party giveaways that require or reward users for performing profitable actions. For example, linking to a giveaway on another service that requires or incentivizes users to click a referral link, like a Facebook page, follow a Twitter account, join a Steam group, complete a survey, sign-up for a newsletter, or make a donation.
