Self taught feeling burnt out taught myself a few songs simple ones need something challenging but not insane to learn. Would like to mix up my chord use.

This guy uses his guitar in all of his songs. Have to play by ear though like he does.

Edit: I suppose I should state the freaking obvious. There WILL be spoilers for the respective games in his songs.

Why, yes, I do abuse that link. It deserves it.

Try some silly and short/loopable video game tunes. They're usually easy.

Chords I have most of the basic ones down easily and can do a barre chord (Of course the one that looks like an A chord still gives me problems stupid fingers normally just mute the bottom e string) For the most part looking for suggestions I know some protest songs from the IWW protest song book(Preacher and the slave being my favorite), house of the rising sun, plenty of punk rock but those don't count. I like old country (Do not get me started on modern country actually I guess this would be pop, the only music I find that I can actually say I hate) Folk songs newry highway man is one I taught myself. Point is I like loads of crap and I like good guitar playing, never really liked prog rock/metal but I can appreciate the musical talent and find myself enjoy Rush just do to the instruments

yeah, not everyone can do a barre chord, I know a lot of people who just find ways around it.
you said you had trouble with one that looks like an A?
I'm assuming that would be a B, which I've seen played with the E and A strings muted, like xx4442
uhm, unfortunately I'm not too familiar with much of those genres, but I would suggest something by Nick Drake if you wanted a fun to play folk song. Day is Done was my start with fingerstyle.
When I feel burnt out, I take an easier song I've learned already and try to incorporate the vocal melody or additional riffs alongside just to add complexity and make it sound better. Past that I would turn up Pandora and listen for a catchy tune.
I found this though, if it would be of any help as far as more chords go

When I say A I mean it looks like an A chord just on a lower fret so first one would be B, but I just fudge it and mute the high e string, guess nick drake might be interesting have not really tried to play him. thanks for the suggestion

I would actually suggest getting guitar lessons. I was self-taught until a year ago when I felt burnt out like you did. My guitar teacher pointed out a lot of things I unconsciously did wrong, particularly the placement of my left hand. He also taught me a lot of different jazz chords and improvisation techniques I wouldn't have learned by just memorizing songs, and it helps to be able to understand the theory behind chord progressions rather than just memorizing finger placements.

Playing guitar is so much more fun now since I can actually just play whatever I'm feeling at the moment rather than imitating a song I memorized earlier.

Just found some decent employment first thing I am doing with my next paycheck. Also no longer have a crap squire fender. And I have been studying music theory on my own.
