FTL is one of my all time favorite PC games, there are also a ton of mods for the game after you beat it. You can find mods (and how to install them) directly from the FTL site, the mods are super easy to install with Grognak's Mod Manager.

Fun fact: FTL is my second most played game ever on Steam.

FTL of course BUT (giant but) then lack of support post launch by the developers is annoying. No dlc, no achievement, no workshop :-s
