Mercenaries was one of my all time fave games, and I was pretty disappointed in the sequel. I feel like JC2 was what it should have been. My favorite thing about the game is probably the grappling hook and modding the it to going super far makes the game for me. I love the random chaos and feeling a world that's simply HUGE.
That said, JC2 multiplayer was really something else. I don't play anymore because server populations are so low. But, back when the beta tests were running, having over 1,000 people on one server was INSANE. I played it every day until the beta was up.

Dunno if 24 hours (15/50 achievements) is enough for me to participate. I have been enjoying the game for the past month; However I have been getting crashes to the desktop more often and often and kinda gave up on it. Thanks for doing events like this thou, it is very enjoyable!

Ah, Fallout 4 and Just Cause 3 coming soon. I think that I have my rest of the year planned quite nicely :D And Xcom 2 in feb 2016. Oh boy, oh boy. I'm feeling like I felt when I was 7 years old and Christmas was coming, days went by so slooooow. I'm not going to participate since I have the game preordered already but good luck with the participants! And have fun ofcourse :D

Why do i like JC ?
I've played just cause 1 + 2 pirated long ago. I like the game because u can do almost everything you want : steal , destroy, race & it's fun :) ... Started to played again when i saw this event and it's was super fun even if i finish this game 2-3 years ago (pirated) and played it for 50-60 h (didn't care about the main mission i was destroying everything i saw) ... but now i want to get to 100% achievements.
My favorite thing in JC2 is the dual parachute thrusters (to bad it's 50k ... i am broken every time)

I found this in the midweek, and I practically only have the weekend to play, so the only hope was that the agency missions were easy... but it takes time chaos to unlock them. :(

Just Cause 2 was actually the third game I had on Steam (the second I bought). Enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately I did take screenshots at that time so likely missed so good captures there. Still, took one that kinda emphasizes the good side of JC2 (with a flavor of chaos).
One thing I still recall fondly was the freedom in the game. It had open map (quite big at that time), lots of things to do but perhaps the biggest part of freedom was the freedom of movement. The grappling hook combined with parachute made movement easier in a completely non-realistic way. Like stopping your fall by grappling just before hitting the ground. The game it simply work in a fun way. This is big as I recently played Saints Row 4 which had similar unrealistic freedom of movement (super powers) that did not feel fun or working well with other game mechanics.
On the side note, my original idea was to draw the main hero in similar scenery as Miley Cyrus in Wrecking Ball, format the picture as a postcard with a text "With wrecking love from Panau" and add couple screenshots of the game on the side. I hope that someday I actually can properly participate these events of yours.

Just Cause 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. When I was in law school, I'd play it to turn my brain off and blow stuff up after a long day of reading boring law books. You really need something like that to get through all three years.

Same thing happens to me sometimes with comments. One time it took me about 20 tries before the comment would post, while other people seem to have not a single problem, it was rather annoying :/

Ok, you appear to have gotten really unlucky, it always accepted my comment on the second try. But mostly, it was with longer posts, so they got lost in translation and had a different meaning as before (you really can't right the exact same things twice). Same reason my "initial" comment here was rather short. It'd be nice if the browser cached what you're typing when writing a comment, but Firefox doesn't wanna do that here.
Anyway, I'm real psyched about the mediterranean theme on JC3. I myself grew up on a mediterranean island. Simultaneously, as a geography student, I'm very curious about how "true" they will depict that kind of culture and environment in JC3.

Well I only recently started playing JC2 because this peaked my interest and so far I love it. I really like the movement with the grappling hook and of course throwing guys off of building with it.
I hope my low play time is not a disqualification. In any case I've had fun with this so I hope you enjoy the pictures :)
