So LemonDrop's threads this one and this one as well as fact that I rarely watch movies at all, inspired me to creating this little monster. I'm sure lots of you know some movies hyped to the point where you really don't even want to watch it. What are those and why?

I'll just leave it here and blend in. Even though my posts will be stigmatized as OP's. But shush, maybe no-one will notice.

Never watched any Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars movies..
Or Mean Girls (which is apparently a big deal amongst my friends). ; A :

Mean Girls. The showcasing of Lohan's massive implants, and our "introduction" to McAdams, Seyfried, and Caplan.

Was a little hyped at the time, but that's a good roster of little-known (to film) actresses.

I have never watched it as a whole film, bit I've seen different fragments on TV over 9000+ times, so I'm not sure whether I watched it or no. :(

Well, I'm pretty surprised that so many people didn't watch (yeah, now I see this big, ugly mistake in title, ugh, sorry) Star Wars and LotR. And I thought I'm really unique about that. :D Gonna watch SW eventually. I think. Few friends mocks me for not watching Alien too. I don't know that Interstellar thing some of you mention. Wth is that?

I watched the first Harry Potter movie. It was enough to make me never want to watch any others.

I've also never watched Avatar, thankfully.

A lot of Kubrick's movies. I love 2001, being a fan of Arthur C. Clarke and all, but I can't stand people going on and on about Clockwork Orange or that one with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman (eyes wide shut or something like that). Smells like overrated pseudo-psychology to me.

The novel is nice, Arthur Clarke is really good. Though, I haven't seen the film.
For me, The Counselor is the most boring move.

Cloverfield, The Blair Witch Project, Zapruder, Paranormal Activity

Basically any "found footage" shaky cam type movie. I already have bad eyes so watching a grainy "art" film shot by a camerma riding a syban is of no interest to me.

Star Wars movies, because I can't stand the franchise, pew pew.
Reboot Star Trek sequels, because I hatewatched the first one once, I don't need more of that negativity in my life.
James Bond movies, because I just don't care.
The Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr, because RDJ is terrible.
Man of Steel (2013), because Superman is dull.

I personally don't really watch movies anymore, so a lot of movies that I've not seen (yet). One of the newer movies that's apperently very good that I haven't watched is Deadpool (I probably will watch it at some point, but not anytime soon).

Most everything since 2011. I think I only watched Inception (terrible mistake), the Nolan Batman movies (even worse mistake), Avengers (was mediocre, but entertaining for one watch), and Mad Max 4 (for something that was supposed to be two large action scenes, the whopping 20 minutes of actual action scenes were rather underwhelming, but it was an enjoyable movie I didn't regret watching).
Frozen is on my list though and the rest of the Marvel films. I generally enjoy the Disney films, especially the non-sequel ones. The Princess and the Frog is still probably the most enjoyable new flick I saw in the past years, along with the first Thor. Oh, and Star Wars VII too. I'll get around it eventually.

Deadpool and the new Star Wars - I have zero interest in seeing either, and I was sick of hearing about both of them before they were even in theaters.
