o.o Sorry I got confused by how you wrote it LOL
I get offended way too quickly. And yes, I suggest you write in your trade topic that people have to comment there first, I never accept anyone if I don't see an offer by them somewhere or know them through something else..

Nah you can't trust google when converting currencies, it pretty much always is significantly more in the end (if you see 1.85$ it would be like 1.80€ with fees and this and that and not 1.66€ according to Google). And yes, keys are a tad more cheaper than 2€ but I was trying to find the average (market price + private sellers).

there is no such thing as a Division steam key. it's either a steam gift or a uplay key.

Hahaha, wrong. Revoked copies were sold so many times there. And games are also quite expensive there, most of the times.

No, I'm not joking geo ^^
For example if you use often G2a or Kinguin, with every purchase you get small amount of money back, not even talking that you are able to sell your leftovers there. so when you pile up some cash there you can buy what ever you want for less money.

i knew they were scammers cause none of the commented on the site they went straight to my steam and invited me. just wanted to play along a little since i was bored it was amusing seeing them block all communications, while i was unveiling their true intentions.. XD

I know the feeling. I was scammed once in the D2 soj days. I laugh when I realize I was scam and just said oh damn that was pretty neat. Than when someone else try to do the same thing again, you know what is up. Sometime you just gotta fall before you learn

yeah right i only got scammed ones. i was like damn he's good or was i too dumb to fall for that even in the early days of the ps3 scammers i had never fallen for those cheap lines about sharing accounts. but on pc they are worse. impersonating other people. its just sad

You could check their profile here , they are probably perma suspended

never trust any links people give you. always check for yourself. Enhanced Steam is a great tool to do that. a must-have for traders.

oh, if you insist... well, i have this Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition key for 10$. interested? it will show up in your library as Woodle Tree Adventures, but that's... uhm... that's just the japanese name for Dark Souls! should be obvious, right? i mean, in Dark Souls you walk in the woods sometimes. and you have this adventure going on, you know...

I tried posting a thread and it took less than 5 minutes for someone to message me to try and scam me. I made a point that if they have good rep I'll go first, but they had -2 and insisted that I go first. :C
Oh right, when I insisted they go first, they tried to push like... deadbits keys or something like that at me, to prove that they were for real. Like, come on... your indigala free crap doesn't prove anything....

unfortunately when you have little or no rep scammers will come out in droves. It's best to trade stuff you don't care about at first, like bundle games for cheap amounts of cards.. Build up your rep as a trustworthy trader.
It's hard to get scammed once you have enough rep to require most of your traders to go first.. It can still happen but becomes much harder..

I've gotten scammed before, yeah. Just by having a talk with the other guy, deciding they're a generally OK guy, having my key go first (key for key trade) and then the guy just deleting and blocking me. He made me lose trust in humanity. Now I am like OP and am super-cautious. (not on steamgifts tho)

The first ever trade I made was back when Don't Starve first came out, it gave an extra copy so I thought I'd trade it for a cheap game, made a thread, some guy said he had ES: Oblivion, I was like "Hell yeah!" immediately did it and viola, he disappeared.
I was the biggest sucker, thankfully it didn't put me off trading and I got much smarter, much quicker.

I remember only once, when I had no rep. It was a regular bundle key trade and "since we both have no rep, you go first, I have been scammed before" scam. It was just a bit too good of a deal (both keys were cheap, but his would have been still worth twice or so). Also, during the conversation, the way he talked implied him going first was out of question: "we both have no rep, so you go first", "it's not worth getting negative feedback for a cheap key, so you go first" and similar. That triggered some bells. When I checked he didn't even have a sg account.

Yea some Guys allready tryd to Scam me. (Have a small notice in my SteamProfile for them)
Did not read all the reply's here so my example maybe got posted allready but yea:
Done a Giveaway in the Forums, after announce who won the GA i got 2 Friendrequests at Steam, both had the same Name like the winner had.
After checking both Profiles, i figured out that they renamed their accounts just a few min Ago.
I was act like i dont know what happend, and both of them guys send me messages after accepted the requests.
Asked me for the Key they won in the Giveaway few min ago. (one of them told me he will report me if i do not send the key)
My answer was: "Heres your Key: YOU GOT BLOCKED AND BLACKLISTED!"
Legit winner got his Key, was send him a friend request on my own, to be 100% sure hes the real one ;)
cheers,
Planlos

so i posted this trade and in less then 1 hour moe then 6 people tried to scam me 3 of them thanks to steam game rep i found out they were scammers. and others the story was to good. like one said i got it for my birthday and i don't need it. one said i bought it cheap from G2A. If you are reading this you know who you are. its a shame that people like this exist and ruined the fun of trading and friend making community. SHAME ON YOU
