How does someone spend that ungodly amount of money for a pair of shoes?

I own a grand total of 4 pairs:

• Regular/work shoes I've been sporting those for the last 10 years. They also double as dress shoes, in which case they get a new coat of shoe polish.
• Sandals Bought together with the aforementioned shoes.
• Running shoes Bought last year, mostly used when I get on the threadmill
• Yard work shoes These used to be my regular shoes, before I bought the current ones. They're probably at least 15 years old.

for me it's 1.normal shoes (converses :| i have a 2-3 pairs i guess) and 2.running shoes :| :D

I always wear boots that kind of look like this
if I'm not wearing those I'm wearing something like this

also have some formal shoes and 2 pair of hi-tec boots which I don't use
and running shoes that I use mostly to do yard work

those shoes look nice, i had a friend who was a sneaker fanatic more than anything else really, she loved shoes but most were sneakers than anything and those only go for around $300. Do you wear these 1k shoes normally or for special occasions :o

I have no idea how many pair of shoes I got. Too many or maybe too less XD if I would guess, then around 25-35 I think.

1k usd plus on shoes and we act like theres nothing wrong with this world awesome.

Wow, shoes. Here in Eastern Europe we can't afford that luxury thing. We cover our feet with rat leather or leaves.

kinda strange, when you first put this topic up i actually bought a new pair o' shoess. first time in a couple years, somehow scrounged the intertubes and found a pair of Adidas Sambo Classic on Amazon for $25 bucks....good deal seeing as I can't find them for cheaper than 50 bucks

I have a ridiculously large shoe backlog. :( All these awesome shoes are just sittin in my closet, because I can't find time to wear them. If there was a shoegifts website, I'd gladly give away some pairs.
