"Rise of the Tomb Raider" today exclusive to Xbox One, tomorrow coming to PC, so much "exclusiveness".

What? Fk you square enix.

Our friends at Microsoft have always seen huge potential in Tomb Raider and have believed in our vision since our first unveil with them on their stage at E3 2011. We know they will get behind this game more than any support we have had from them in the past - we believe this will be a step to really forging the Tomb Raider brand as one of the biggest in gaming, with the help, belief and backing of a major partner like Microsoft.

That bit right there pretty much says that M$ threw a lot of money there way to make it xbone exclusive. Like I'd probably buy an xbone anyway, but I still think its a massive screw you to everyone.

But I would still say it will be an 8 to 12 month timed exclusive anyway.

Don't worry, it will probably spend like 6 month as "XBox One only" and then will be released on PC and PS4.

If it's anything like the other reboot then no big loss. People without an XBox won't miss much by waiting a few months to waste their money on it.

is Square Enix in financial problems?

MS would have to have offered an assload of money to make up for the sales loss Square-Enix takes putting it out for the system with a significantly smaller install base. Either that, or SE and Crystal Dynamics are desperate and need immediate funds.

Bad move, even with a timed exclusive IMO it does hurt a game a little once it releases on other platforms because a lot of people stopped caring about it or glimpsed it at a friend and don't need it anymore. I'm disappointed and I can't believe whatever amount of money they got for this is worth it. I never once wanted to buy a game or a console just because it's on that specific console, but it certainly does get me annoyed at everyone involved.

Well, whenever it comes out for the other formats, just don't buy it (or any other square enix stuff) until it gets dumped in bundles etc. Vote with your wallet, that's the only thing these so-called managers understand.

Wow, just wow... and I was going to pre-order it. What an idiotic move from SquareEnix, just ruined all my hype about the game. Just how much they were paid to sacrifice PC and PS sales so easy...

Sounds like a bad idea but I have both consoles so I don't really care. It's funny how people jump on the internet to cry and complain about stuff like this, it does no good.

Its highly unlikely that its exclusive. Microsoft doesn't really seem capable of third-party exclusives. I figure it'll spread to the other systems 6 months later, for the summer drought.

Meh, the newest reboot was good but not enough to pay top dollar for it. I dont mind waiting until its evenutal PC release, and then waiting even longer until its inevitable massive discount.

I think its a good thing for Xbox Owners but its a real fuck you to loyal PC and PS users as the series started on PC/PS/Sega Saturn at that time all the way (of course Sega makes nothing now).
