I enjoy it because it's just a really chill game in general. It's hella cute and there's heaps to do. I'm real bad at summarizing things so just go check out a trailer or something.
All in all though, I just like how relaxing and social it is. That and I also like making my house look real fancy with furniture and other silly customizations.
Think The Sims but Nintendo'd + online multiplayer.

Super pumped, but I don't have a 3DS yet :( I really need to save up some money to get one.

This is the funniest thing I've heard in a long while.

I am super excited ^_^ I pre-ordered it last week, but I still need to buy a 3DS, lol.
EDIT: I like that paying off your debt isnt going to be the main focus of this game. In the other games, I always put off paying off the house because I didnt want it to feel like "well, NOW what to do" since the main objective was completed.
EDIT 2: For those that dont know what Animal Crossing is, its slightly like The Sims. Slightly.

Technically if you own a game and get it on an emulator for the sake of playing it on PC it's legal, but... He hasn't played it before let alone own it, so yeah it's piracy.

Not according to Nintendo.
Can I Download a Nintendo ROM from the Internet if I Already Own the Authentic Game?
There is a good deal of misinformation on the Internet regarding the backup/archival copy exception. It is not a "second copy" rule and is often mistakenly cited for the proposition that if you have one lawful copy of a copyrighted work, you are entitled to have a second copy of the copyrighted work even if that second copy is an infringing copy. The backup/archival copy exception is a very narrow limitation relating to a copy being made by the rightful owner of an authentic game to ensure he or she has one in the event of damage or destruction of the authentic. Therefore, whether you have an authentic game or not, or whether you have possession of a Nintendo ROM for a limited amount of time, i.e. 24 hours, it is illegal to download and play a Nintendo ROM from the Internet.Source

I bought myself a 3DS 2 days ago just for the game. It looks amazing.
I am upset about the David statue though. It was misogynistic of Nintendo to not censor it. I am very glad Patricia Hernandez made an article about it, on my favourite website, Kotaku.

Not really, might get the game not 100% sure. I'm more pumped for Shin Megami Tensei IV and Pokemon Y and X.

Same as the OP, I got my 3DS on release day on the basis it was due out in just a couple of months (and there was supposed to be a shop and stuff to look at in the meantime). Then ofc they didn't release any of the functional updates for months and AC just seemed to disappear into the distance....
Can't wait

You can get the original 3ds on eBay for about £80

Yes!
And there's no real reason to enjoy Animal Crossing. There's nothing terribly interesting or exciting about it... but it still manages to be fun for some reason. :P

I'm crazy excited, even getting the new Animal Crossing 3DS XL. I'm so glad they decided to offer it to North America, it's the cutest 3DS in existence. I feel like I've been waiting forever, though. It's killing me!
EDIT: Oh, also, I think it's great that Nintendo has moved to day one downloads on retail games. I think this would be a great game to have always loaded into the system. Many an animal crossing town has died due to other games simply being in the system and switching out carts just to pop in for a minute is eh.

I think it's also on gamecube..
Also remember one quite similar to AC but on GBA, Harvest moon, you're in charge of your farm, breed animals, build and furnish your house, get a girlfriend and marry..google it..

Overall, I didn't really like Animal Crossing for the NDS- the whole objective was just to pay off your house, and then oh look, a bigger house and more debt It was pretty fun to play casually, but the main goal being to pay off your debt (and after you paid it off, then what?), coupled with the weeds, turned me off
Man, I'd want to take a break and play some other games, come back to that one, and then I'd feel obligated to pull up all of the hundred weeds around town >.> I found myself not wanting to play it just 'cause I'd dread all of the weeds lol
That being said, I've heard good things about AC for the 3DS, and I'll be playing it on my Limited Edition Zelda 3DS <3~

I bought my damn 3DS on release two years back just for this game and I'm still waiting! (Albeit not long..)
Anything you're particularly looking forward to? Any reason you won't be buying it, besides simply not liking the franchise?
