⚠️ Region lock ⚠️

Siege Survival: Gloria Victis
The gift link notification shows a very long list of countries that receive region locked keys (from Middle East, Africa, Asia) although there are no subs matching these profiles (perhaps they're newly created subs, not indexed yet on SteamDB, or it could be that some of these countries (from Africa?) do not receive the game).
Will update this when more info is available. So far, what we know:

STAR WARS™: Squadrons

  • RU (maybe BY as well?) does not receive the game

Does speculating about the leaked emojis 👽🪐 on Chinese social media still keeps you excited and interested in these bundles?

[I like the spotlight game(s)] Some good ones in here this month, and as expected a few fillers too. But overall I'd say it's an ok mix.
[Only with limited deal] I guess I should already start thinking of a creative name and fake address for my 50th Humble Bundle account that I'll have to open to benefit from the $6 deal again this month.
[Happy] I get why people are so salty about Choice, but for me this is an awesome bundle. I was considering buying these games prior to them being bundled, and now I can get them for much cheaper.
[Neutral] I'm not a huge fan of this month but I don't dislike it enough to make me pause my subscription. I'm on the fence.
[Pause] Yikes. Here we go again... I already knew it was going to be a bad month when they offered newer subscribers 2 consecutive months for $6 each.
[Disappointed, lineup] The quality of these bundles has been in a steady decline. I miss the golden age of bundles where you could get 5 good titles for a dollar, those were the times!
[Disappointed, Origin] Considering how much they're pushing Origin keys onto us, I guess they will never understand that we aren't interested in non-Steam items.
[Canceling the subscription] It's actually quite stupid to keep pausing on the $12 plan. Instead, I'll stay unsubbed, wait for a good month, and grab that for $6!
[Choicetato] I know exactly how HB can find the spark they've been missing: a Choice consisting solely of one Paradox game and two thirds of its DLCs!

Long-time buyer, first-time skipper. Anyone know if I've already used my 20% discount on pre-ordering a game this month if skipping will affect that?

If you have closed the deal and sent the money, probably not

That looks right so far. I wasn't sure if it was as complicated as 'pay for June, get June discount' or if it just started/stopped when subscribing/pausing but it looks to be the latter. Paused and didn't get any warnings about orders in play or canceled or anything like that.

What I don't get is why EA don't put a choice for a Steam key as well. Valve doesn't require payment for generating keys that publishers/developers can then sell on other stores (online stores that is). So EA is already paying Humble a cut so there is no reason to just generate Origin keys. One might say "It will grow their platform", but how many people are deterred from these games because they are Origin only. I bet Humble and EA would get more keys if Steam keys were an option. Either way, Origin is a must, so EA get their userbase growing, while getting probably more money from the bundle (if that's how it works, dunno, if they are paid after or before the monthly, is over).

It's all about the body count. EA needs people on their platform. The idea is better to have them play on their platform and take a chance of getting more sales for other games. Then to keep them on steam and no chance of sales on platform. Just loading up the platform, even if not to play. Increase the chance of a game purchase via advertisement.

It looks good to investors with any increase in activity. It's a title that is probably not making as much money as it use to, but is still recognizable. So, flood the market with cheap or free keys. You toss out 100k in keys. Even if only 1% come to your platform. That's 1000 new players to advertise to.

Just a theory, but probably the reason. :D

There hasn't been a good one since when we got COD WW2, Spyro and Crash in the same month, but that was before the changes in the bundle. Anyway, never been a long time subscriber, and i'm glad about that when you get like all games you never heard of.

I don't care if one of them is not on steam, most game looks fun, and I don't own any of them. So pretty good bundle for me.

Squadrons was gonna make.this an automatic resubscribe until I saw the key was for Origin. Now it's an angry pass.

PS - TIE Fighter back in the 90s was one of my favorite games. I had a Thrustmaster joystick and loved the game (which sadly used a serial port or else I might still have it). I don't have nice things like that anymore and I don't have as much fun playing games as I did back then. Squadrons looks like it would hit a nostalgia sweet spot, but I'm kinda just interested in Steam keys. That's why it's an angry pass.

It's actually the same game, you know, no matter what launcher you use... And it sounds like you'd really enjoy it, so I don't understand.

Well the main reason is that I don't know if the Steam Deck is gonna be able to run other launchers like Origin or Epic Games without messing around with the OS. My current computer is a few years old and building or buying something new right now is not possible for the foreseeable future. The Deck is sadly gonna be what fills the gap for me between gaming rigs, normally something I would do with a console, and so for right now, I just wanna stick with what I know I can still play once I start using the Steam Deck as my primary machine for gaming.

Edit: I haven't read up on any current details and I do know that the thing runs emulators and can run those other launchers, I'm just not real clear on whether or not the people who've used those programs had switched to a Windows install over the Steam OS. I'm really kinda nervous about changing things from the way the machine is designed to work and it's not something I want to do or at least not right away.

PPS - I have some bad memories regarding handhelds and customizations --- I bricked a Sony PSP putting custom firmware on it ... I'm an idiot and I turned the power off in the middle of an update.

You can install and run games from EGS using the Hero launcher. It is possible to use the Origin launcher but it's not a very easy procedure. So EGS is really easy to achieve, Origin needs some work to be done.Ofc you have no guarantee that every game will run.

Both work without installing Windows. And even if you'd install Windows, that's nothing special that might brick your system. The Deck is just a PC, drivers for Windows 10 and 11 exist.

Maybe also check some reviews to see if it even provides what you like about TIE Fighter, X-Wing, etc.

Wow, i didn't think any bundle would be bad enough to make me cancel my $6 deal but this is that bad. 0 wishlisted, Superhot was free for owners of the original game. This has surpassed my expectations of how terrible a Humble bundle could be.

They said that the number of games won't be fixed,
but they always give the lowest number = 8 with non-Steam headliner sometimes, and mediocre for the others
glad I didn't take the $6 bait.

Someone in Humble bundle loves strategy games, it always a third of the bundle are strategy games

It's not even a third this month, with two out of eight being strategy games.
And in April there wasn't a single strategy game, only an RPG and a visual novel with some strategic elements.

I'm one of the few remaining holdouts that has the "Classic" membership. Is there a single reason to keep it? I pause a lot, but never get any coupon/discount offers (I'm guessing because I have a 3 month subscription plan).
