I just realised that "I changed my mind" isn't a viable option when you delete a giveaway. If there aren't going to be more options, it should at least be possible to choose "other" and write your reason.

Opinions, discussions, other non-existent features you want. Please tell me.

It was a group giveaway and I was immediately kicked...

Under those circumstances, the deletion reason would be an error.

The error, of course, being "The guys that would be getting it are gigantic bags of dicks."

EDIT: Whoops, didn't catch that typo.

This needs to be a valid reason now.

Admin booting him doesn't mean the members are dicks. I'm part of the group in question, and the members are incredibly generous. Unfortunately, there has been a spate of leeching, so admin is more proactive in monitoring rule-breaking.

Post from Admin: "yep we told him to leave the giveaways because he is not allowed to join yet, he said yes but stayed in them, so we had to kick him before he wins them and we can't do a reroll because we kicked him too late."

Think about it this way - once you've created the giveaway, you've already given the game away to the community, exactly who it goes to is to be decided. I do not think there needs to be an option for "I changed my mind". Of course, there should be an "other" option for most things but to me, before you post the game on here, you should decide that you truly do not want it back.

Wow. I'm sure I would name the group for that reason alone.

It's your own fault for getting kicked from the group so now you have to deal with the consequences. Boo hoo.

Actually that's, like, incredibly wrong. If the site didn't want you to delete a giveaway, they wouldn't have the option. And I haven;t looked in a while, but I believe 'made the giveaway by mistake' or something similar is an option, and that would probably be fine.

Also, to everyone asking to name and shame, stop trying to get him to break the rules and get suspended.

He didn't make a mistake.... I am not going to respond any more because I do not want to get suspended but I stand by what I said.

If he's not in your group then he doesn't have to give you any games.

With your reply, I was able to see the group in question, and the announcement regarding the topic creator. So, he should deal with the consequences of... having a giveaway up for a group he was booted from for leeching?

Well, whatever. No one wins in this.

Wait, really? He was kicked for leeching? He was kicked for leeching while having an active giveaway in the group? And then someone in the group comes on his thread and yells at him for deleting the giveaway, telling him that he better give it to the group regardless? Isn't that, like, reverse-leeching?

Apparently, you have to create a giveaway before making any entries. His giveaway was created after entries, and that is where the leeching boot came from.

I find it perfectly reasonable to delete your giveaway for a group you were kicked from.

Logic, yeah.
