Am I the only one that I have the same card drop rate as before? Idle master is dropping cards with the same speed. :/

I'm beginning to think this is an addition to how trading cards drop and not a glitch.
Anyway you have to skip games. It seems that cards can now drop when you close a game.
If the game has 0.0 hours of play-time then it won't drop anything.
So the way it works is that you open IM and use the setting "idle each game individually". Then you just click next game every 2-3 secs and harvest cards. If a game doesn't drop anything it's most likely because it needs more play-time before dropping.

Actually I was playing a game with card drops during this and cards were dropping normally around an hour 1 card then i tried the last card with this and got it in 10 secs. For your first sentence

This glitch only got me 1 drop from each game I had idled over 2 hours. Repeating the process over does not get me fast drops anymore.

Still working for me. I hit Pause Idling and leave it for a few seconds and it drops me a card. Go to Next Game and repeat.

It was a thing in the past ... where you idled all games for 2h , and then you got the First drop from each game in the courise of 5-10 min ...
I had over 200 games to idle first time i run the thing , and it droped me a card for each one ...
Im not sure if steam has shitstorm when you are idiling to many games , but the only times that this happened to me was when i idled a ridiculous ammount of games in the same time .

I have only been able to get 1 card from each game so far. :(
Way I seem to be getting it to work is that I start IM, Pause a game. Start again, and click next. Then I get the card from the previous game right when I switch. After I go through them all it seems it stops. I got all my cards one after another before this.
I have tried to close IM and restart Steam/IM to get it to work again, however. I have yet to get it to work AGAIN after going though one cycle though. Still working on it.
Many of these games have over 2 hours already, but I have gotten cards from games with 0 hours too. :D
EDIT: Got it to work. Got 30+ drops in under 20 minutes. Basically you just have to keep changing the settings to idle individually, 2 hours, etc. after you cycle through to reset it, or restart Steam/IM. Then I just skipped through all the cards. At the end when I got to the list of under 2 hour games I clicked the link that updates the card count and usually got a couple cards there. Just keep messing with settings and stuff and it works eventually.

While this may seem great, it really isn't. If this Valve doesn't figure out how to stop this it is going to have massive effect on market prices. Not just card values will go down, but with that the badge costs will go down, which means everything else will be going down too. Part of the reason prices remain somewhat stable is that it isn't this easy to get card drops to flood the market with. It keeps people who don't want to sit around for 3 hours waiting to get 4 cards from doing it. If they can get them instantly it becomes a much wider problem.

I have a diva dev telling me that using an idling program is against steam rules. I had 8 hours of waiting for a few games, but most of them are around 2 hours.

Some devs do it to be dicks. Like those ones that have games that only last 1 hour and it takes 8 hours to get all the card drops. Those are the same kind of devs that add stupid achievements like "play the game for 1 year/365 days Total", or the one in ARK where you have to stand in place for 8 hours straight with the game being the active window so you can't do anything else. I can understand ones that have short games making it take over 2 hours, but it should never take more than that.

This needs bumping, so far this has bought me Enter the Gungeon, quite a few badges and I'm sat on £10 steam wallet and 60+ items on the market. I've got around 400 cards. I never idle so I was sat on a lot of cards, I still am.
It's so hit or miss, just open idle master, mess with the settings then click next on every game until done. Mess with the settings again and repeat the process.
It doesn't work with every game every time, but it DOES work, it requires a lot of fiddling with. There seems to be no rhyme or reason behind it, if you are struggling, just keep at it is my advice.

It's done without IdleMaster, after you have 2+ hours in game, after you CLOSE game. It happens only once per game.
Changing game in application is equal to closing current and launching other...

Technically, yes you can but since it is interacting with your current steam client session it could get you VAC banned if anything goes wrong.

I never used Idle Master but it is no longer supported for a few months now and you should check out asf, it's way better.

I had this problem too. Someone said that you have to delete something like cache. But ASF is much better so i don't care about it anymore.

It's a shame ASF doesn't have a GUI like Idle Master. I had a quick go at it but couldn't get it to work. I'll have another go though as Idle Master doesn't seem to be dropping cards when you skip anymore.
