Free Steam Group Giveaway

I mean I refuse to subscribe to youtube accounts when the owner says "subscribe to my youtube."

Well, referral links are not allowed here, as laid out in this FAQ. If they were, the forums would be flooded with people posting them constantly to get free games/money/whatever from people clicking them based on the promise of getting something free themselves (which will only happen if they post referral links themselves). By having giveaways that depend on people subscribing to your youtube and, what's more, bugging all their friends to do so as well, you too are profiting from other people clicking through to your group based on promises of free things which, in most cases, will not materialize. Even if you aren't getting paid money for your youtube, and have no intention of doing so in the future, you're getting something out of it (whether it's views, subscribers, a good old fashioned boost to your ego, or whatever) by luring people into your group/youtube with advertisements based on promises that won't be fulfilled for most. I hope you can now grasp the similarities. It's not technically against the rules the way you're doing it, and I'm not going to waste my time hassling you about it beyond this explanatory post, so do whatever you like, but, for the record, I think it's kind of sleazy.

Unless you have some proof, it only seems like you just want subscribers on youtube, which is just sad.

Also, i had the chance to watch some of those videos, and honestly i dont see where's the fuzz about, nothing impressive, and not worthy of a subscription.
