That's not how percentages work... http://puu.sh/fwW3n/a8983695a8.jpg

You may notice that doesn't say -80% discount. Just -80%.
That is the difference. If you are specifying it is a discount, it should be '80% discount'.
This is not a 'how percentages work' thing, but a 'how the English language works (or doesn't)' thing.
Using Steam and the same game as an example... http://img42.com/ELnSY
Also.... JOKE!!!

Eh, Steam version was gimped when they removed all the best songs, even from the people that already owned the game. I'll stick with my PS2 copy.

That's why third party software exist. You may have a point with the second item, I mean, you can add your own music to the game. Mission Master allows you to choose the mission you want to play, and there are 100% saves you can download in several sites.

3rd party software is a pain in the arse to set up, which is why I'm ignoring some of my current collection of Steam games. Still wouldn't be likely to play it anyway. The 100% saves aren't a problem, just that I'm not going to return to the game, I haven't even played it on PS2 for several years.

I'd be careful if I were you. Encouraging pirating is ban worthy, I believe. :P

Yeah, wasn't happy to hear it myself. At least when Vice City lost some of the songs, it only effected new buyers. Not so with San Andreas.

Wait WHAT? They removed songs from Vice City? B-b-b-but... Vice City's soundtrack is the best ever. Seriously, words cannot express its glory. Well, wow, I have played Vice City at least a dozen times - same for Vice City Stories - but, sheez, thank you for making me aware of this, now I'm sure I won't get it on Steam in addition to my non-Steam version...
How could anyone do such a horrible thing to the glory of Flash FM. :(

It happened because certain companies think that the game should only be allowed to have their content for so long.

Me though, I got it free for PS3 along with a copy of Red Dead Redemption. I don't need to wait for it on Steam. :D

One of those third party sites that aren't always trustable?
Comment has been collapsed.
Nah...
I'm pretty sure that logic only applies to games like Titanfall, DayZ, Evolve, Hatred, etc that are/were brand spanking new and you have/had no idea whether the game will/would live up to the hype.
GTA 5 has been out for a long time on multiple platforms.
Unless the game comes to PC completely unplayable, people have no reason to complain once it is released because they ought to know what they are getting by now.

I RATHER PRE-ORDER BAD RATS 2 THAN THIS1!1!
Seriously though, I won't even buy it so wathever. Hope it doesn't sell well on pc (LOL of course it will).

Even though I believe and hope that Rockstar will have a solid port on the GTAV, the preorder thing I ll always find it stupid no matter what.

Such is better on consoles. I love the plasma cutter that came with my copy of Dead Space 2.

If you pre-order GTA5 from Rockstar Warehouse you can choose a different game.

I don't need to chose another game when I buy GTA V, I'll have all Rockstar games available for PC on Steam

I pre-ordered the upcoming Resident Evil Remaster HD. I haven't done such nonsense in years, but am a sucker for RE games. I just couldn't resist at 25% off before release. Even if it sucks, I'm happy. It doesn't make sense, but I'm okay with it.

I pre-ordered it. Not the first game and not the last that I'll pre-order in 2015. I do as I please with my money and if it turns out being a piece of shit and a huge disappointment then its going to be my problem and not yours, not that it would be a problem anyways.

Resident Evil HD, Heroes M&M 3 HD, Project Cars, Dying Light, Witcher 3 are all pre-ordered right now along with GTA 5. Might will refund Dying light, I just wanted to stop myself from impulse buying during the winter sale with my steam wallet.
Hotline Miami 2 and MGS5 are ones I will buy/pre-order.
There are some other games I have my eyes on but probably wont pre-order them.

Actually, it's confirmed every pre-order means R* moves one GTA-port-worker to work on console content.
Seeing how more then 3 preorders were made, whole PC-team is now working on console content and current crappy build will be released in March. Thanks!

Does anyone know how the Nuveem preorder works? i sas its a rockstar social club activation code only, o.o????

Eh, another one of those threads where some random stranger tells you not to do something, even though whether you do it totally won't matter to him...
Comment has been collapsed.
The reason these threads exists is that when people keep pre-ordering games, publishers will keep releasing broken games. If they can get money in advance, they don't have to make sure that the game is polished and has no game-breaking bugs. Do you think Ubisoft would have released AC: Unity in the state it was if they hadn't already cashed in on the pre-orders?

I don't support pre-orders, nor do I condemn them. I just can't stand random people telling me how I should spend my money.
Comment has been collapsed.
I was going to buy it, I had budgeted it and bought steam bucks for it so I wouldn't spend the money on something else. But then they delayed it one too many times. They'll get my money in the summer sale, maybe. Instead, I got some stuff for myself and got some games for the community (giveaways already concluded).

Seriously, hold your monies and do not pre-order GTA V. Otherwise you might get disappointed as with most games that have been released recently.
2015, the year of no more pre-purchases!
