I think it's just about joke threads like this giving newer people the impression that calling out is indeed allowed, resulting in actual calling out threads popping up later for support to clean up.

Sure, the joke is obvious if one clicks on the links, but the topic alone staying active in the forums and the post itself at a glance can give the wrong impression and a bad example for those who don't know better.

I created a fake-begging thread 3 months ago, and got a reply from bobofatt that these type of threads are not acceptable. However I don't know if he meant that begging threads are forbidden, even if they are fake and lead to a hidden GA, or any type of thread, which parodies existing yet forbidden type of threads (begging, scam report, trade, etc.)

This guy http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198126971055 promised he would give me Fallout 4 in exchange for Rust.
I gave him the Humble gift link, he gave me the key, he succesfully redeemed the link, but the key he gave me was most probably for a crappy free game, as it was shown as "product already owned".
Then he left fake -rep on my profile (for all it's worth), and immediately blocked me.
Oh, well... nevermind. It'll just be a drop in the ocean of scam stories.
