A model robot. And I documented my progress on Imgur. Take a look if you want. Have you ever built something like this? How did you like it?

I love building Gundam kits. Haven't done it in a while though. I'd KILL for this kit though. But I'm broke. :(

I remember one time building a 1/60 scale G Gundam complete with individual moving fingers. Told someone I knew about it. He didn't beliebe me do I showed him. Complete with the bird flipped. :P

Whew! I clicked on the link bracing myself for a hundred dollar price tag or something, but it's not too bad. You'll be able to afford it eventually.
1/60 sounds... quite large. I don't know where I'd store something like that.

I bought lots of model kits like yours, but don't have time to build them. lol
(1/144 scale costs about 10~15 dollars here. :P

Wow- That's a great price, assuming what you're talking about is anywhere near USD. I'd certainly be more inclined to buy another kit if they were that much over here.

yeah the price i mentioned was in USD.

maybe this site could solve the shield problem?

It did! Thanks to those pictures I was able to figure out that I had attached the vambrace pieces upside-down. I flipped them and the shield attaches perfectly now. Much appreciated!

Very nice! I was trying to see how the shield is connected to his arm(like I said in the imgur post, I couldn't get them connect on mine), but I guess yours is a different model(?) so it might connect differently.

My god that Gundam looks amazing! Kudos for building it, I built about 6 small Gundam Wing models, they weren't nearly as hard as this one though!

Edit: OMFG... it costed you a $1... I'm so jelly

Thank you! It was a nice little challenge.
If it's any consolation, this is the first good deal I've found at a garage sale in about a year. :P
Although I did get a gamecube and about 20 games for a Jefferson on the same day :o

Wow... dude, you just collected on a shit ton of good karma on that day! Probably there was some guy who had a heart attack that his mom or spouse gave away his stuff for pennies, lol.

Well, each of the 2 purchases was at a different house, and I spoke to the guy who used to own the cube. He just didn't want it any more. No idea about the backstory to the gundam though.

Well.. I have a friend that collect those and pays a lot of money for them and collect them.. he has a whole side room full of gundum and other robot models. I use to go to his place a few times a month to help him build them because it's just so much works... But that piece u have probablly should worth way more then 1$...

3 hours is pretty decent timing for building a piece like that.

There are gundum out there 5-10 times of it's size for you to build if you can find them on some online shops.

Don't be too hard on yourself! I'm a little clumsy myself and wasn't sure if I could build this one, but it was easier than I thought.

BTW.. if u really had fun building it.. try to get a set of
1/100 YF-21 Perfect Variable
or
Evangelion Technique Impossible
or
Ome Oye Toys Banshee garage kit

They are much harder and fun.

I would have totally snatched that up too if I was you :)

I never built a model, but I made some figurines from scratch myself, for example Cactuar from Final Fantasy VIII.
