Steam gifts disappeared/ greyed out in inventory

list and remove an item on the market if you can.
that will fix inventory errors.

Maybe some of our gifts became Unusual gifts (they just not ready with their designs that's why they seem missing), and we will see some shiny effects while unpacking them.

Maybe we are getting a region lock like so many other places in the world. That would be fun.

Having this issue happen too. I guess I'm kind of paranoid, but I've taken screen shots of my remaining inventory and I've gone through my purchase records to see what's missing. I'm missing five games just grayed out, no names or properties. The boxes are there to trade or add to library, but I haven't tried to do either. I'd rather wait to see what's going on before I mess with it.
I've had the icons disappear before, but there's always been a tiny corner icon box to show they are still there and when I clicked on them, they still show the name and all the info. This glitch is different. Everything is just gray, nothing to indicate what the games might have been or hopefully still are. Haven't seen this before. :(

This is happening to me to and I was going to make a thread about it but its 'comforting' to see that other people are having the same issues. Phew.

Same Issue here, it renders the trade window useless - but if you're trying to gift someone something, you can still add them as a friend and from the inventory screen click an item and then, "send gift" in the details pane. The correct image for that item will show in the resulting page - keep trying until you find the item you need to send.

I think I found a fix for this.

You need to send the gift to someone (might want to do it to someone offline/who knows whats going on and have them NOT redeem it) then go back into your inventory and take the gift back.
I did that to two games who I was waiting on a friend to redeem, and now they show up again.

its probably just an inventory system screwup. it'll be fixed before long.

It is FIXED now.

Inventory has been glitching lately where wont show you what the items is. But be reassured that nothing happened to it and Valve is hard at work fixing it. (Happened to me too for some of my steam gifts and now are fixed after waiting)

Mine are showing up again as well as others that I have talked to. Some are still having issues though so the fix must be slow to roll out.

i cant buy as a gift but i can still buy for myself. too bad since i dont actually want to activate it yet
at least im able to buy while it's on discount though
